The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) may appear for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) wedding. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will see a ghost, so this could be a visit from their beloved daughter.
Y&R fans know Mariah asked Nick if he’d walk her down the aisle, so he said he’d be honored and meant it.
However, this task may turn out to be a little painful as Mariah and Tessa’s ceremony draws closer.
Nick might find himself thinking about how he’ll never get the chance to walk Cassie down the aisle and give her away.
Since Sharon intends to walk Tessa down the aisle as well, she’ll get a similar reminder and hate that Cassie isn’t around to help celebrate.
Of course, Cassie has surely been on Sharon’s mind anyway.
Although the car crash wasn’t Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) actual cause of death, it had to bring back grim memories of when Sharon and Nick lost Cassie.
Like Nick, Sharon may also find Mariah’s wedding day to be bittersweet.
They’re both thrilled for Mariah and wish her all the happiness in the world, but every big milestone Mariah hits is one that dead Cassie won’t.
There’s just no getting around the twin connection here and the sting of Cassie not being able to do the same things.
Fortunately, Cassie could still be part of the celebration in the form of a ghostly visit.
There’ll indeed be a ghost sighting for Sharon and Nick during the week of May 9-13.
Based on the timing, it makes sense that Cassie will appear in vision form ahead of Mariah and Tessa’s Friday the 13th wedding.
It’d mean so much to Nick and Sharon if they could sense Cassie’s presence.
Whether they get the opportunity to speak with Cassie or not, Sharon and Nick might exchange smiles knowing she’s there with them in spirit.
Since Y&R’s goal seems to be putting Nick and Sharon back together eventually, this could be another step toward that.
Sharon has a lot of grieving and healing to do first, but her family with Nick is something that’ll get her through this crisis.
There’s always going to be a Cassie-shaped hole in Sharon and Nick’s hearts, but it’ll bring some comfort if her ghost makes a brief wedding appearance – and it’s looking like she will!
