The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will likely undergo a psychological evaluation, but will it help or hurt the Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) custody case?
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) intends to pursue legal rights to be with Dominic, and he’s now willing to turn this into a court battle if he has to.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) has ways of poking holes in the contract Devon signed and can use his biological connection to Dom in his favor.
However, it may take more than that if Devon wants to pull off a victory. Amanda might have to use Chance’s trauma against him and act like Devon’s stable presence in Dominic’s life is genuinely needed.
Chance is committed to working through the lingering effects of his mission and the horrors he endured. He’s been trying to be more open and honest with Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) as he looks to the future.
Although Chance does seem to be doing better, Abby will still fret over his history coming back to haunt him – perhaps in more ways than one.
Abby will want to make sure Chance is truly going to be OK, but she may also get nervous about how Devon might twist things around.
Maybe Abby will realize Devon might use Chance’s mental state against him if a court battle plays out.
During the week of January 10-14, Y&R spoilers say Abby will encourage Chance to seek professional help.
That may be partly for Chance’s own well-being and the sake of their family, but it may also serve as a preemptive strike against Devon’s strategy.
Regardless, it seems likely Chance will undergo a psychological evaluation one way or another.
Will that be a good thing and prove Chance is on the road to recovery – or could it reveal some deeper issues that Chance is masking?
That might depend on who does the evaluating and how Chance holds up under pressure!
