The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will have a rocky therapy session. He’ll reach his breaking point, so that’ll send this struggling dad to a doctor for help.
Y&R fans know Chance has been battling nightmares about what happened in Spain. Chance is sometimes even haunted by that ordeal when he’s awake, so it’s obvious he needs someone to talk to.
Of course, Chance has been adamant that talking to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) is enough, but that’s not really working out.
Due to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) latest health woes, Chance doesn’t want to pile on his own problems.
As a result, Chance keeps bottling things up and downplaying his issues. He also tried to rush back to work, but that plan ended in disaster.
Chance definitely wasn’t ready to be in another high-stakes situation, so that led to a panic attack while on a stakeout with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
It looks like Chance is on the verge of his breaking point – the moment when he’ll decide he genuinely needs assistance from a mental health professional.
Chance might feel like even more of a father failure after Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) saves Dominic’s life.
Devon is a 100-percent bone marrow donor match, which means he can be the one to come to Dominic’s rescue.
Although Chance will be unbelievably grateful to Devon, he may view it as another example of Devon and Dominic’s connection.
Chance has been struggling to bond with Dominic, so watching Devon step up for the baby could be tough.
However, Chance might ultimately decide he has to keep his promise to be the best dad and husband he can be.
It’s becoming increasingly obvious that Chance can’t work through his trauma on his own.
That means Chance needs to sit down with a therapist and start unpacking some of his deep issues.
Chance will indeed head to a therapy session in the coming weeks, but his first one will no doubt be particularly difficult.
Can Chance conquer his inner demons and find a healthy path forward?
