The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may trick Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) into betraying Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) confidence. Chelsea could shatter Adam and Sally’s trust through Sally’s secret spillage, so let’s talk about how this might play out.
Y&R fans know Adam has been divulging all kinds of secrets to Sally lately, but also been nervous about doing it.
Adam appreciates having someone like Sally in his corner, but he knows she’s a bit of a wildcard.
Even so, Adam is trying to trust that Sally can keep her lips zipped and be someone he can count on.
That’s why Adam’s been willing to open up about all his Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) issues.
Adam even admitted that the relocation drama was happening because he told Chelsea that they had no future together.
Sally found out Chelsea’s sudden push to move Newman Fashion came about as a reaction to Adam’s harsh truth.
Later, Adam swore Sally to secrecy on the topic of Victor potentially selling Newman Media to Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) – though he warned her not to tell Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) or lord this secret over Chelsea.
Since Adam is now consistently using Sally as a trusted confidant, we have to wonder if that decision will come back to bite him.
Adam is telling Sally things in the strictest of confidence, so she’s probably going to blow this.
During the week of January 31-February 4, Sally will feel trapped. She’ll be cornered with no way out – and Chelsea should be the reason why.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will deliver a shocker that catches Sally off guard.
There may be some situation where Chelsea tricks Sally into confessing, even if it’s just by provoking her.
Chelsea might get Sally riled up enough to spill some of the secrets Adam’s been telling her.
In response, Chelsea’s shocker might be to tell Adam that Sally spilled! She might want to break any trust that Sally’s built with Adam and try to drive a wedge between them.
Regardless, Chelsea is going to strike back at Sally in the coming episodes.
Sally also seems poised to blab some of the things Adam has confided, so there’s the potential for Chelsea to be to blame on some level.
