The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) could be headed for a love triangle with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). Two marriages may be at risk, so let’s consider what we know so far.
Chelsea has definitely been growing closer to Rey and can’t seem to get him out of her head after that steamy dream she had.
However, there have also been multiple scenes of Chelsea bonding with Chance.
As we’ve seen with Chelsea and Rey, a friendship can veer into a more romantic direction overnight!
All it took was one hot dream for Chelsea to realize how deep her interest in Rey went.
Y&R buzz hints that there’ll be more bonding opportunities for Chance and Chelsea before long.
The writers seem to be keeping their options open when it comes to a possible Chelsea and Chance pairing.
That’s especially true since Chance feels like such a failure in his own marriage.
Chance and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) appear to be headed for major trouble in their relationship.
Since Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is so concerned about the negative energy due to Chance’s trauma, we might even see Chance move out of the Chancellor mansion.
If Devon changes his mind and threatens to sue for sole custody, Chance would surely walk away from Abby to avoid that.
Maybe Chance will feel like the best thing he can do for Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is let Abby co-parent with Devon alone.
Regardless, the show’s highlighting this idea that Chance doesn’t think he deserves Abby or his new family.
Therapy isn’t helping much so far, but Chance will continue opening up to Rey here and there.
That’s another interesting point since Y&R’s really playing up Rey and Chance’s friendship.
It would make it even more interesting for Chelsea to land at the center of a love triangle with the two of them.
Chance’s marriage could be in trouble – and so could Rey’s since Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is always focused on Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and their old family connections.
We’ve got two guys who feel like outsiders and could be in need of another love interest soon enough.
Will Chelsea’s feelings for Chance grow stronger and turn this into a love triangle?
Since Chelsea will indeed keep sharing scenes with Rey and Chance, there’s the potential for complicated flying sparks.
