The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are perhaps being teased as a pairing possibility. Y&R seems to be hinting at a future love match – or they’re at least leaving the door open to that intriguing romance.
Of course, a Daniel and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) reunion appears to be in the works, so that’ll take center stage for now.
Lily has been having some serious problems with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so it’s the right time for her to get back together with Daniel.
Unfortunately, Daniel is keeping secrets and could potentially be working for Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), so that could complicate his reconnection with Lily.
Meanwhile, Sally will face some complications of her own. After Sally sleeps with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), she’ll find that their bond has changed and will dump him for good after getting closure.
Sally will have Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as another love interest possibility, but he’ll need to decide if he can get past her Adam hookup.
Although it looks like Y&R will go with Nick and Sally as a couple for a while, they’ll be starting off on fragile ground.
With that in mind, we should consider Daniel as a love interest option for Sally, too.
Can you imagine Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) reaction to Sally dating her son – or Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) reaction to Sally dating her brother?
Summer already hates the idea of Nick’s involvement with Sally, so she certainly wouldn’t be happy about a Daniel and Sally love match.
Likewise, Phyllis would probably plot some sabotage to keep Sally as far away from Daniel as possible.
In the December 1 episode, Daniel was intrigued about “this Sally person” that Summer and Phyllis were actively rooting against.
Phyllis urged Daniel to steer clear of Sally, but he may not be able to do that indefinitely.
It’s surprising that Daniel doesn’t know the whole ugly story when it comes to Sally.
You’d think Summer would’ve filled Daniel in on all the dirty details by now, but there’ll be time for that later – perhaps when she’s eventually trying to warn her brother away from her old enemy!
Sally is obviously one of the writers’ favorites, so she’s poised to get other big stories now that her love triangle with Nick and Adam is winding down.
That could lead to Sally and Daniel getting paired up at some point, so it’s worth mulling over.We’ll offer updates as more Y&R news comes in.
