The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may ask Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) on a date. If Devon finally accepts his true feelings, he’ll prove Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) right.
Y&R fans know Devon and Abby fought hard to repair their broken relationships, but neither attempt panned out.
Amanda’s trust in Devon was shattered beyond repair, so she has no intention of signing up for more pain.
That’s especially true since Amanda thinks Devon has deeper feelings for Abby than he realizes.
Devon shares a child with Abby now, so Amanda suggested that was a game-changer.
There’s no denying that Devon and Abby’s bond has grown stronger lately.
Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) offers a permanent link, which has strengthened the connection that was already there.
In other words, Abby and Devon’s friendship deepened to a more romantic level.
Although Devon and Abby initially tried to convince themselves they made a mistake in the heat of the moment, Amanda and Chance believe there’s more to the story.
Chance has been trying to convince Abby that she belongs with Devon, who can live up to her ideals in a way that her soon-to-be former husband can’t.
Abby is clinging to this failing marriage, but she may ultimately let go and try to move on with her life.
Chance doesn’t seem like he’s going to change his mind about the divorce, so this could be Devon’s opportunity to make a bold move.
Devon arguably didn’t seem as upset about losing Amanda – perhaps partly because their long-distance relationship was already strained.
Regardless, Devon may mull over his true feelings for Abby and accept that maybe he truly wants to be with her.
Don’t Abby and Devon owe it to themselves to explore this connection – particularly now that they’ve blown up their other romances?
Devon and Abby might as well see if there’s a chance for them as an actual couple.
Once Abby has an opportunity to mend her broken heart following the divorce, Devon may ask her on a date.
Perhaps Devon will make a pitch to see where this goes and hope Abby’s on the same page.
