The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) may fire Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) over a party announcement. Will Imani Benedict’s (Leigh-Ann Rose) bad advice cost this COO his job?
During the week of June 13-17, Nate will get ready to make a big speech along with Devon, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Of course, there have already been some discussions about how much the gang should announce at this Chancellor-Winters merger launch bash.
Nate thinks now is the time to be bold and really show people what they’re going to accomplish.
Devon and Lily, on the other hand, are all about the overall vision. In their eyes, it’s better to just tease the merger itself and surprise everyone with their projects down the road.
However, Imani will stroke Nate’s ego just before he gets up on stage.
Although Imani’s motive may be more about agreeing with Nate and getting on his good side, she’ll push him to go for it once he’s at the mic.
Nate will initially stick to his prepared speech, but something will change along the way. We’ll see Nate get energized by Imani’s pep talk and the buzz of this grand event.
Y&R spoilers say Nate will end up blurting out Chancellor-Winters’ plans to introduce 50 new podcasts in the coming weeks.
That’ll throw Lily and Devon for a loop since they weren’t ready to announce that to the public yet.
Naturally, Nate’s not going to get a pat on the back for this. Devon has already been clashing with Nate lately, so this could really push him over the edge.
Nate is crossing the line here since he was lucky to get the COO job in the first place.
It’s not like Nate has a ton of experience in the business arena, but he’s family – and that made Devon take a chance on him.
Now Nate is blowing that chance by going against Devon’s wishes, so Devon could get riled up enough to fire Nate over this.
We might see Devon insist he needs team players who can follow instructions – not wildcards who put projects in jeopardy by doing whatever they want.
Even if Devon cools down later, it’s easy to imagine him firing Nate in the heat of the moment. Let’s hope Y&R offers some real drama since a podcast announcement isn’t the most exciting blunder.
The real issue may come from Nate being a rebel and getting himself fired over it – at least if the writers remember the show’s supposed to be soapy!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate’s daring move will inevitably provoke Devon’s fury, so we’ll see what consequences that decision might bring.
