The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) could get his revenge on Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) by falling into bed with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) over his company betrayal.
Throughout Devon and Nate’s feud at Chancellor-Winters, there’s always been this underlying feeling that it was about more than just business.
The show has repeatedly brought up Nate and Elena’s cheating mistake, so it seems important.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) recently wondered if Devon was subconsciously punishing Nate, but Devon denied it.
After pointing out he’d gotten past what happened, Devon argued that he wasn’t a vindictive person.
However, Devon probably just isn’t being honest with himself about how much that betrayal still stings.
Now Nate is about to pile on a different type of betrayal – at least if his partnership with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) works out.
If Nate pulls off his goal, then he’ll singlehandedly be the reason that Newman Enterprises controls Chancellor-Winters.
Victoria may be able to score enough shares for a majority stake and end up in charge.
Elena knows this is a horrible idea, but she hasn’t been willing to warn Devon yet.
Of course, that could change eventually, but Elena will continue to feel terrible regardless.
In the end, Elena may wind up sorry she didn’t do more to stop Nate.
It’s easy to imagine Elena apologizing and sharing some close moments with Devon as he fumes.
Devon’s vindictive side may come out after all if he pounces on Elena in the aftermath.
This could be a subconscious thing like Lily suggested, but it could also turn into a situation where Devon has no desire to fight temptation – not when he feels Nate deserves to suffer.
Elena’s relationship with Nate hasn’t been on solid ground in a while now, so it’ll be easy for her to cave in, too.
Throw in the fact that Devon’s been doing a long-distance romance with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and all signs point to Devon hooking up with Elena.
Y&R writers will inevitably make Nate pay the price for his actions, so they may use Devon sleeping with Elena to deliver the vengeful blow.
