The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) could be on the verge of a fiery kiss, so Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may see red over her enemy’s passionate progress.
Diane has admitted that if the opportunity arises for a Jack reunion, she’d be a fool to pass it up.
Although Diane acts like she’d be satisfied with friendship, it’s obvious she wants much more than that.
Of course, Diane has already completed the first step toward reuniting with Jack – and she really didn’t even have to work for it!
All Diane had to do was stand back and let Phyllis implode her relationship with Jack on her own.
Now Diane is taking every opportunity to grow closer to Jack and highlight how much she wants to make up for the mistakes of the past.
Jack can see the effort that Diane is putting into rebuilding her bond with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so that matters.
Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) also adores his “Didi,” so Jack has been connecting with Diane over their grandson.
Jack had a bit of a hold and cold thing going on with Diane in their July 25 scenes together, but there was still a flirty vibe underneath the surface.
If this doesn’t build to a kiss or something more down the road, it’ll be a total waste of time.
We can only hope that Y&R writers will really bring the drama by having Jack grow closer to Diane and surrender to a lip lock eventually.
If that happens, can you imagine how furious Phyllis will be?
Phyllis can barely handle Diane being in Jack’s orbit at all, so the idea of them kissing or even hooking up would drive her insane.
If Diane can arrange it so Phyllis witnesses a steamy moment, that’d be even better.
It’d really turn the tables considering Phyllis got herself in this mess by flaunting her intimate relationship with Jack.
Diane might be a little smarter about her own flaunting and make Phyllis miserable without putting her renewed romance in jeopardy.
There’d be a lot of story potential in pairing Jack and Diane up again, so we’ll see how things play out. As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll pass along more updates.
