The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) first birthday party will bring some drama. Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) marriage will be on the rocks, so here’s what Y&R fans can expect.
During the week of August 29-September 2, Dominic will celebrate his first birthday.
That’ll bring a little gathering, but there’ll be some tension between Chance and Abby.
Chance felt pressured to cover for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) after he staged the accident to hide the truth behind Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death.
Although it was ultimately Chance’s decision, he was under a lot of stress and felt the need to protect Abby’s father.
That could bring some resentment from Chance now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is making a mess. Adam is threatening to expose all the Ashland evidence, which could put Chance’s career on the line.
Of course, this will only add to Chance’s guilt for going against his own boy scout instincts.
Chance didn’t want to put Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) through any more pain, but he still ignored the law he swore to uphold.
Chance will manage to break a promise he made to Abby soon, so we’ll see if that involves the Ashland case or perhaps Dominic’s party.
Abby has already been complaining about Chance working too much and missing special milestones, so she’ll be upset if he bails on Dom’s birthday bash, too.
It’s easy to imagine Chance getting called away and disappointing Abby in the process.
One way or another, Abby will end up irritated with Chance over his decision.
Despite Chance’s vow to make his family a priority, Abby won’t feel like he’s keeping his word.
However, Chance may disagree considering he risked everything to help those closest to Abby.
We’ll see Abby and Chance’s marriage take a hit thanks to this mess, so will they be able to survive the crisis?
Things could get better for Chance and Abby if they’re willing to put the work in, but something tells us things may get worse instead!
