The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, April 1, tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will worry about a strange phone call – and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will face his next puzzle. Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) will also fight back, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
When Phyllis doesn’t hear from Jack for a while, she’ll decide to reach out and see how things are going in Los Angeles.
Jack will claim everything is fine, but his tone will tell a different story!
Phyllis knows Jack well enough to realize when he’s in trouble. She’ll get a bad vibe about what’s going on and won’t like being left out of the loop.
That could be why Phyllis and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will find common ground on Friday’s episode.
Lauren and Phyllis will do some commiserating, so Lauren may complain about the time she spent in the dark on the whole situation with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
At one point, Lauren was tempted to hop on a plane and see for herself what was happening.
Phyllis may decide that’s a good idea and the only way to satisfy her current curiosity.
Regardless, Phyllis will ultimately decide to catch a flight to LA and try to help Jack handle whatever crisis he’s facing now.
Of course, Phyllis could never imagine that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) would be back from the dead!
Jack can still barely believe it himself, but that’s part of why he’ll return to see Diane after storming out on her.
Jack will want more answers about Diane’s faked death and why she’s suddenly decided to surface now.
Diane will help Jack put together the remaining puzzle pieces, but he won’t like what he hears.
Jack may realize that this isn’t just about making amends.
It’s likely about winning Jack’s heart as well – and Jack will no doubt make it clear there’s no chance of that happening.
Meanwhile, Y&R fans may see the aftermath of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) leadership shakeup.
Victor names Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) temporary CEO of Newman Enterprises on Thursday’s show, March 31, but that decision probably won’t work for Ashland on Friday’s episode.
After all, Ashland owns half of Newman-Locke thanks to the merger.
Ashland may shut down the idea of handing over the reins to Adam and argue that he gets a say in this.
Newman Enterprises is part of Newman-Locke, so Victor may not be able to do whatever he wants with the Newman Enterprises CEO position without Ashland’s approval.
Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will still be plotting during the week of April 4-8, so Ashland may pump the brakes on Victor’s leadership change for now.
No matter how this plays out, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will remain convinced that her way of handling Ashland is the best one.
