The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, April 29, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will reveal a fake illness story to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) seems jealous of the new couple.
At Crimson Lights on Friday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will explain that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) faked her death with Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) help.
Once Victor gets over the shock, he’ll wonder if Diane really expects anyone to believe her garbage claims of wanting to make amends.
Nikki won’t expect Diane to stick around since she won’t imagine Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will forgive her.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will be torn between thinking this is a miracle and asking himself why he’d put his family through Diane’s drama.
In the end, Kyle will tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that he’s decided to hear Diane out, so Jack will agree to make the arrangements.
After Jack shows up at Diane’s hotel suite, she’ll assume he’s there to deliver bad news.
However, Jack will admit Kyle wants to see Diane and get answers to the questions that have been tearing him apart.
Diane will be elated and grateful, but she’ll have one request.
Diane will want to reunite with Kyle in a warmer setting that he’s comfortable with, so Jack will agree to let her come to the Abbott house.
Once Jack heads back home with updates, Kyle will have a request of his own. He’ll ask Jack and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to keep Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) entertained elsewhere.
At this point, Kyle won’t want Diane anywhere near his son. Later, Kyle will answer a knock at the door and come face to face with Diane after all these years.
Meanwhile, Sally will praise Adam for his plan to rid the Newmans of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).
Sally will think Adam deserves a more permanent leadership role – at least official co-CEO alongside Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Adam will argue that he’s going to play it by ear and see if Victoria treats him like a partner.
Adam will also entrust Sally with more responsibilities at Newman Media in the meantime.
At Society, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will spill something that Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) told her in confidence.
Chelsea will reel when she learns Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died from a heart attack instead of the actual car crash.
Chloe will insist that’s why Chelsea shouldn’t blame herself and will encourage her to focus on moving forward.
Chelsea will end up snapping at Chloe, but she’ll acknowledge that she’s just upset – especially since ruthless Ashland survived while amazing Rey died.
After Sally and Adam arrive, Chelsea will waste no time in spreading the secret Chloe told her not to reveal.
Chelsea will act like everyone was going to find out anyway and explain the heart attack situation.
Chelsea will hope this might alleviate Connor’s guilt and will want to do a family outing – just the three of them.
Adam will act like they can talk about it later and maybe work something out.
That’ll leave Chelsea annoyed over Adam’s lack of commitment to a simple family outing for their son’s sake.
Chelsea will guess it’s because Adam doesn’t want to send the wrong message to Sally. She’ll think things have clearly progressed between Sally and Adam.
Once Adam shows Sally to their table, Chelsea will tell Chloe that there’s no doubt they’re a couple now.
Chloe won’t think Chelsea should care and will beg her not to use the shock of losing Rey as an excuse to gravitate back toward Adam.
Over with Sally and Adam, she’ll question Chelsea and Rey’s friendship since Chelsea tried to kill him.
Adam will clarify that Rey wasn’t exposed to enough poison to actually die.
The goal was simply to make it look like Adam tried to kill Rey – and there were extenuating circumstances.
Sally will still be impressed that Adam could forgive Chelsea for that.
After mulling it over, Sally will decide she has a confession to make.
Sally will be nervous considering everyone’s reaction to Ashland’s cancer lie, but she won’t like hiding this buried secret from Adam.
Sally will admit to faking an illness to hold onto a man she was in love with out in Los Angeles.
Sally will share the story of how she tried to win Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) back, but Adam won’t be upset over the scheme.
In fact, Adam will seem impressed and mention how he also faked a medical condition once upon a time.
Adam will be glad they can share anything and everything since he’ll think he’s falling in love with Sally, too.
Sally will point out that Adam left her hanging long enough!
Sally will wonder if Adam really means it, so he’ll want to go somewhere private and make himself perfectly clear.
Back with Chelsea, she’ll glare at Sally and Adam from across the room. Chelsea will continue to fume as Adam ultimately leaves with Sally.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea seems to have some jealousy issues that she needs to get under control!
