The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, April 8, tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will bargain with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) warns Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to back off. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also make a vow, so let’s talk about what Y&R has in store.
In Victoria’s office, she’ll reveal how she intends to drive Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) out of the picture.
Victoria sold Ashland on the idea that Adam is capable of framing him for a fake illness, so Ashland has latched onto that and intends to set her brother up.
Of course, Victoria knows that Ashland has taken the bait, which is step one.
Victoria will fully expect Ashland to be off planting evidence against Adam – and that’s exactly what he’ll be doing.
Victoria will need Adam’s cooperation as she works to sell this charade, but Adam will pump the brakes and wonder what’s in it for him.
There’ll be some bickering, but Adam will have some leverage since he’s at the center of Victoria’s grand plan.
Adam will agree to help Victoria on the condition that he remains Newman Locke’s interim CEO, so she’ll have no choice but to cave in – at least for now.
Nevertheless, Victoria will certainly want to kick Ashland to the curb and reclaim the CEO spot permanently once she’s done.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) may feel like Victoria is playing with fire and wonder what’s going to happen once the frame-up moves forward.
Victoria might be cagey on some of the other details, but she’ll feel confident she’s in control of the situation.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will have concerns of her own, but Victor will make a vow to his wife.
Perhaps Victor will argue that no matter what comes next, he’ll protect his family and the company he built.
Meanwhile, Lily may worry about the potential for Billy to fall back into old habits and scheme himself into some trouble.
Lily will have some words of caution for Billy – most likely when it comes to the drama Victoria’s caught up in with Ashland.
Lily might push Billy to back off and trust that Victoria can deal with all this, but it’ll be tough for Billy to let go.
It looks like Billy’s on the verge of ignoring Lily’s warning, so that could bring some relationship issues down the road.
