The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, August 19, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will kiss Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) wrestles with a big decision. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also catch Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) off guard, so let’s talk about what’s brewing in Genoa City.
For starters, Chelsea may be surprised by Billy’s stance.
Billy might insist he’s on Chelsea’s side when it comes to telling Johnny Abbott (last played by Ryan and Holden Hare) the bio mom truth – though he may reiterate it has to happen at the right time.
We could see Billy offer some words of support when it comes to Chelsea bonding with Johnny someday.
Billy may also see the value of Johnny and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) getting to know each other as brothers.
Now that Billy has mulled everything over, he may be more in Chelsea’s corner than she thought.
Of course, Billy’s stance on Victoria might also catch Chelsea off guard.
After Chelsea tries to act like Billy and Victoria were good for each other once upon a time, he may be adamant that ship has sailed.
Chelsea will fish to find out about any lingering Victoria feelings, but Billy may insist they’re better off as friends.
That could give Chelsea the green light to make a bold move with Billy since one of those is indeed coming up during the week of August 22-28.
In the meantime, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will refuse to budge on the Ashland Locke (Robert Newnan) cover-up.
We’ll see Victor do everything in his power to protect this secret and his family.
Nick, on the other hand, will be tormented by his guilt and will feel like maybe it’s time to come clean.
Although Nick will consider confessing to the cops, he’ll ultimately back off the idea and keep Victor’s cover-up alive.
Over with Diane, she’ll daydream about a wonderful future with Jack.
It’ll be so amazing that Diane doesn’t want this daydream to end, and Jack will eventually suggest maybe it doesn’t have to.
Jack and Diane will share a kiss based on Y&R’s weekly promo, but it could be a fake-out where Diane’s daydream seems to conclude – only for her to snap out of a second one.
Then again, Jack has been growing closer to Diane lately, so you never know just how close they might get!
