The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, December 16 Recap – Billy Surrenders to Lily’s Idea – Jeremy’s Tempting Offer

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, December 16, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will return from the cabin just in time to help Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) decorate the Christmas tree.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will join in, but Traci will be left in the dark on Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) hideout.

Before Traci goes out for drinks with a friend, she’ll tell Kyle that Diane is a fighter and will have a feeling everything’s going to be all right.

Soon after, Summer will tell Kyle and Jack to be careful since they’ll be headed off to confront Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

At Jabot, Summer will find Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) cleaning out the stuff from her office.

That’ll bring another argument, but Summer will hope they can move past this and be a family again in time.

Phyllis will rant about Summer firing her as an act of solidarity with Diane and will indicate she’s not getting over it anytime soon.

Even so, Summer will insist this firing is on Phyllis since she summoned danger to town and made driving Diane away her sole focus.

At Jeremy’s hotel suite, he’ll let Kyle and Jack inside. When Jeremy says he heard Diane left town again, he’ll tell Kyle that’s such a shame.

Kyle will lunge at Jeremy, but Jack will hold his son back and get everyone to concentrate on the task at hand.

Jack and Kyle will stick to their story that Diane has gone who knows where.

Jeremy will wonder if maybe they’ve stashed Diane until he leaves, but Jack will push Jeremy to accept his money offer since it’s the closest he’s going to get to reimbursement.

Although Jeremy will agree to hear Jack and Kyle out, he won’t make any promises.

Later, Jeremy will speak with someone over the phone about his unfinished business in Genoa City and will add that he’s got some things to take care of on his own.

At Crimson Lights, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will remain suspicious of Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) motives when it comes to the new empire he wants her to build.

Tucker will maintain that he’s only interested in Ashley’s happiness and will think she could do great things striking out on her own.

Ashley will ask why she needs Tucker then, so he’ll admit she doesn’t – though he’ll think they could be good together.

After Ashley decides it’s time to head home, she’ll thank Tucker for a lovely and surprising day since she enjoyed the picnic earlier.

Back at the Abbott house, Jack and Kyle will talk to Summer about making an offer to Jeremy. Now it’ll just be a waiting game since Jeremy said he’d consider it.

When Ashley appears, she’ll wonder what’s going on since everyone will suddenly get quiet. However, Jack and the others will cover before Ashley heads upstairs for a warm bath.

As for Kyle, he’ll hate the idea of Diane feeling abandoned on Christmas and will want to return to the cabin under the radar.

Summer will protest along with Jack since it’s risky, but Kyle will argue since they didn’t see Diane crying when he left.

At Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) apartment, she’ll watch It’s a Wonderful Life with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) – even though a few scenes will be tough for her to get through.

In the end, Chelsea will suggest the overall story is a hopeful one about realizing the value of life.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will eventually show up with gifts for Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so Billy will point out that he was just leaving.

Although Adam will assume Chelsea isn’t up for the big Newman gathering, she’ll want to go and start trying to live a normal life again.

At the coffeehouse, Tucker will spot Phyllis and suggest it looks like someone had a “hell of a day.”

Phyllis will point out that she didn’t ask Tucker, but he’ll urge her to stop fighting the world so hard since it tends to bring peace when you do.

Next on Friday’s Y&R episode, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will thrill Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) with the news that they’re greenlighting his gaming venture.

When Devon learns Daniel doesn’t have his creative team together yet, he’ll seem a bit concerned.

Nevertheless, Devon will assure Daniel that he’s not having second thoughts and understands that it takes time to build major projects.

Daniel will want to announce the gaming platform in March, but Devon will think that timetable is unrealistic.

After Daniel makes a pitch for why it’s not, Lily will suggest tabling the discussion for now.

Daniel will once again thank Devon, who’ll head out. Lily will also get Daniel’s gratitude and a promise that he won’t let her down.

Afterward, Daniel will meet up with Phyllis, who’ll act like she mutually agreed to part ways with Marchetti over different visions.

Daniel will wonder what the real story is, but Phyllis still won’t get into the details.

When Daniel realizes Phyllis is free and clear to be hired, he’ll urge her to come work on his new gaming platform.

Daniel will need someone to manage his team at a senior level and handle the day-to-day operations while he focuses on the big picture.

Since Phyllis is a gamer and a hacker, Daniel will think she’s a good fit and will encourage her to join him on this.

Once Billy meets up with Lily and complains about Adam showing up at Chelsea’s place, she’ll bicker with him again.

Lily will also bring up the idea of couples counseling, so Billy will assume she thinks he’s going off the rails.

Lily will clarify that she just doesn’t think they can handle this on their own.

Since it’ll be important to Lily, Billy will agree to set something up after the holidays and will take her hand across the table.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Lily and Billy will have to make some updates to their relationship if they hope to make it last!
