The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, March 4, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will find Keemo Nguyen’s (Philip Moon) letters and a photo clue while Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) moves forward with a risky strategy.
Outside her office on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) will go frustrated over Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) secrecy.
Victoria will end up confronting Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as well, but they’ll all act like this is about the co-CEO decision.
Victoria won’t think she’s getting the whole story, so she’ll leave in a huff.
After texting Ashland, Victoria will leave him a voicemail as she stops by Crimson Lights.
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will eavesdrop before gently fishing for information about what’s going on with Ashland.
Meanwhile, Ashland will seem off when he bumps into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at Society.
Nate will mention wanting to work out the details of the new job, but he’ll grow concerned when Ashland lies that his old symptoms have returned.
Although Ashland will downplay his condition, Nate will push him to see his oncologist and have some tests run.
Ashland will claim he was just headed to his appointment and will decline Nate’s offer to go with him.
Back at Newman-Locke, Nick will complain that he’s not comfortable keeping secrets from Victoria.
Victor will insist he’s going to take care of everything, so Nick will hope he’s right and take off.
Nikki will then point out that Ashland is cornered, desperate and dangerous.
Nikki will worry that Victor doesn’t have a real grip on the situation, but Victor will vow to show no mercy if Ashland tries anything.
At the coffeehouse, Nick will try to smooth things over following his earlier confrontation with his sister.
Victoria will rant about how she just wants everyone to respect her relationship with Ashland and stop trying to undermine her happiness.
Ashland will join Victoria and agree with her moments later.
Ashland will act like they can all work together, but Sharon will sense that Nick’s ready to blow and will swoop in with an excuse to get him away from Ashland.
On the patio, Nick will thank Sharon for having his back since that would’ve been a disaster.
As for Ashland, he’ll reassure Victoria about his condition and let her know he still hasn’t signed the co-CEO agreement.
Ashland will then get a text from his contact in Peru, who’ll reveal that he found another doctor who gave info to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
After Ashland gets confirmation that all three of them have been taken care of, he’ll insist he has something to tell Victoria about her father.
At Society again, Nate will do his best to dodge questions about Ashland’s health during an encounter with Nikki and Victor.
Once Nate heads out, Nikki will worry that maybe Victor is wrong about Ashland and will think they need more information before Victor does anything.
In Los Angeles, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will arrive at Keemo’s house with Jack, but no one will be home.
Since the door will be unlocked and someone already summoned Jack there via the texts, Phyllis won’t think it’s trespassing to go inside.
Jack will be reluctant, but Phyllis will point out that Jack might even be the next of kin.
The place will be empty for the most part, but there’ll be a lone box waiting for Jack – one that contains unsent letters from Keemo to his father.
Jack will read through a few and realize Keemo likely never intended to send these letters.
Jack will assume it was more of a therapeutic exercise and will get choked up over what Keemo wrote.
One letter will express how sorry Keemo was about the angry emails.
Another one will talk about Keemo finding peace by changing his name and how he’s free from the conflict of being Jack’s son.
Jack will also read a letter about how Keemo forgave his father in the end, but he couldn’t look back out of fear that his rage might return.
Keemo wrote that he hoped Jack could understand and forgive him, too.
After Jack realizes all these letters were written within the last 12 months, he’ll suspect Keemo might’ve been diagnosed with a medical condition.
Jack will wonder if maybe that’s why Keemo was working through all his complex feelings.
Once Jack takes a little break, he’ll tell Phyllis that they should leave. Jack will be overwhelmed, but Phyllis will think they should look for more answers.
Phyllis will find an old picture of Keemo looking happy with two women and a young girl.
Jack will check it out and see that “Vietnam, June 2012” is written on the back.
That photo will serve as another clue on Jack’s journey, so we’ll keep bringing you the latest updates and news.
