The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, May 13 Recap – Victoria Rejects Europe Trip – Sally Proves Master Manipulator

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, May 13, reveals that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will reject a Europe trip – and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will prove she’s a master manipulator.

At Society on Friday’s Y&R episode, Sally will surprise Victoria by complimenting her strength and talking about how inspiring she is.

After Sally acts like she’s a team player along with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), she’ll contend that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) is the only loser in all of this.

Sally will admit to being in Ashland’s shoes since she also faked an illness to get sympathy and watched it end in disaster.

After Sally confesses to feeling kind of sorry for Ashland, Victoria will suggest Sally is protecting and will feel like the situations were different.

Sally will point out that Ashland is still hanging around holding out hope, but she’ll act like she understands Victoria’s desire to move on.

That said, Sally will think it’s unfair that someone else will benefit from Victoria teaching Ashland how to be a better man.

After Sally suggests Ashland will probably be haunted by how he treated Victoria for the rest of his life, she’ll add that he only has himself to blame.

Sally will hope things get better for Victoria and will leave her deep in thought.

At the Grand Phoenix, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will want Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) to help him get rid of Ashland for good.

Once Victor brings up Ashland’s $250 million grand gesture, he’ll argue that Victoria won’t be fooled again.

Even so, Victor will worry about Ashland hovering and will think they need a plan in case they need to rescue Victoria.

“I want that bastard out of town permanently,” Victor will declare.

At home, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will worry about something going wrong with the wedding, but Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will offer reassurance and answer the door to find Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder).

Once Crystal greets her sister, she’ll hug both Tessa and Mariah as they catch up.

Later, Mariah will head off to Sharon’s for a sleepover and give Tessa some alone time with Crystal.

That’ll give Tessa a chance to talk to Crystal about her adoption plans with Mariah and reflect on how much they’ve overcome.

Crystal will also be grateful to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) for her freedom and will wish she could’ve thanked him.

At the cottage, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will try to hide Rey’s shirt in the dry cleaning she picked up to avoid upsetting Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

Sharon will insist it’s OK for Faith to talk about Rey, so Faith will admit it’s so messed up that he’s gone.

Once Mariah shows up to spend the night, Sharon will talk about all the important moments and events she’s missed in her daughter’s life.

It’ll mean a lot that Sharon gets to soak this one up.

Mariah will be too excited to sleep, so she’ll request some relaxing tea and gush over finding the love she thought would pass her by.

When Mariah fears she’s being insensitive, Sharon will assure Mariah she has nothing to feel guilty about and will pull her into a warm embrace.

At Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will spot Ashland and suggest he can prove his love for Victoria by leaving her alone.

After Nikki rants about Ashland being a toxic narcissist, Victoria will appear and assure her mom that Ashland isn’t worth the fuss.

Although Victoria will claim she doesn’t care where Ashland goes or what he does, Nikki won’t share her daughter’s indifference.

If Ashland isn’t smart enough to steer clear, Nikki will contend that the Newmans will come up with their own way of solving this little problem.

In Victoria’s office, Nikki will pitch the idea of heading to a fabulous spa in Europe for a week.

Although Nikki will fight hard for a mother-daughter trip, Victoria will assume this is about keeping her away from Ashland and won’t think it’s necessary.

Furthermore, Victoria will think they have way too much on their plate to leave town right now.

Although Victoria will appreciate the concern, she’ll insist she’s not on the verge of a nervous breakdown and will promise to get through this – though she’ll still seem upset.

Back at Society, Sally will spy as Ashland mopes at the bar and orders another drink.

Once Sally approaches, she’ll mention that Victoria was there earlier on the same stool with the same mood.

Sally will find it sad watching two people who obviously miss each other – one who’s too proud to admit it and the other too proud to keep up the fight.

Ashland will wonder why Sally cares, so she’ll act like she’s just a sucker for romance.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally and Adam will continue to make some manipulative moves, so stay tuned!
