The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, September 2, tease Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will react to troubling news while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) celebrate too soon. Here’s what Y&R fans can expect as Friday’s episode heats up.
First, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will give Kyle updates on a Jabot leadership change.
Now that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has decided to accept the co-CEO spot, Jack is thrilled to have him on their team.
Kyle, on the other hand, will wonder if Jack’s letting his friendship with Adam cloud his judgment.
Jack has a soft spot for Adam and wants to believe he’s capable of good things.
However, Kyle will mostly focus on the risks Adam brings to the table and will once again fear his baggage could be a problem.
Of course, who doesn’t have baggage in Genoa City? Adam isn’t the only one who’s ever made mistakes, so Jack will concentrate more on the future than the past.
From Jack’s perspective, Adam is a talented executive who needs a fresh start – and Jack could really use the extra help with Kyle at Marchetti now.
Even so, Kyle will have a bad feeling about Adam’s new position and the drama he could cause for their family’s company.
Speaking of drama, Phyllis and Nikki will look forward to running Diane out of town with Talia Morgan’s (Natalie Morales) help.
We’ll see Nikki and Phyllis celebrate what they’ll assume is a victory, but that celebration will be a bit premature.
The week of September 5-9 will bring a major obstacle for Phyllis and Nikki.
It turns out their big scheme will backfire somehow, so Nikki and Phyllis’ current taste of success won’t last long.
In the meantime, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have doubts about how Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is handling something.
That could bring another argument about the Ashland cover-up, but Nick slowly seems to be accepting this is just the way Victor is.
It’s also possible Victor will think Nick is being too trusting of Adam or something along those lines.
Nick wants to believe Adam has truly backed off revenge, but Victor still has his guard up and will remain ready to strike back.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will still find ways to disappoint Victor, so this Newman war may not be over just yet!
