The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Friday, September 9, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will want Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) back while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) pushes Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to be Newman Media’s new CEO.
At Society on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victor will chat with Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case). Despite Victor’s issues with Adam moving to Jabot, Nick will rush to his brother’s defense and feel closer to him since they’ve both killed men accidentally.
As for Sally, Victor will still think she should be fired. In fact, Victor will suggest Nick should take Sally’s place! However, Nick won’t get on board and will think Victor would just be doing it to get back at Adam.
On the GCAC rooftop, Adam will meet with Sally and battle some awkwardness with her as they discuss their jobs.
Sally will be grateful to Adam for helping her keep the Newman Media CEO role before talk turns to his desire for forgiveness. Since Adam is who he is, Sally will wonder if there’s really anything to forgive.
After Sally suggests friendship, Adam will hint that he wants more and won’t feel like just a friend. Sally and Adam will share some close moments, but a text from Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will derail the conversation and send Sally back to the office.
At the coffeehouse, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will move full-speed ahead on planning the music festival, but Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will try to help him see why this is such a bad idea.
At Chancellor-Winters, Nate will make his pitch to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to test the waters and will receive an enthusiastic response.
Later, Nate will get irritated when things don’t go his way on a video conference. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will both get on that video call from out of town.
After Billy brings it up, there’ll be a debate about the music festival Nate’s pushing for. Jill will like Nate’s pitch, but Devon will rip it to shreds and rant about the horrible timing.
When Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is asked to weigh in, she’ll agree to look over the info and will basically act like it’s best to wait until Devon returns for further discussion.
Jill will also make a big announcement about how she wants to take the company public, which will bring concerns from Devon. That’d mean giving up a great deal of control and would make Chancellor-Winters less family-oriented.
Nate will skip giving his opinion and imply he wouldn’t be listened to anyway. After Nate storms out, Jill will wonder what his deal is.
Next, Nate will rant to Elena about it being a mistake to work with his cousins. Since Nate has faced nothing but drama, he’ll be ready to quit! As other Y&R news comes in, we’ll bring you more updates.
