The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may offer Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) a job at Jabot. Will Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) end up furious as these former flames grow closer?
Diane is slowly but surely starting to earn Jack’s trust. Jack isn’t quite ready to take himself out of neutral territory yet and fully support Diane, but he’s getting there.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is bonding with Diane as well, so that’s helping Jack warm up to her a bit. Plus, Diane seems to have a knack for manipulating Jack – at least in small, subtle ways.
Compare that to Phyllis, who often goes big and bold when she makes moves.
Jack has found it difficult to deal with Phyllis and all her drama lately, so Diane is playing it smart with her more restrained strategy.
Despite Jack’s attempt to keep his guard up, he seems intrigued by Diane.
That may come partly from a protective place since Jack has warned he won’t tolerate Diane’s putting on an act.
However, there’s another part of Jack that acts curious about this so-called new Diane and whether she might be legit.
Diane is in a position where she can use that curiosity to her advantage.
Since Diane will ask for Kyle’s help finding a job in the June 20 episode, this could get the ball rolling on one at Jabot.
During the week of June 27-July 1, Jack will make an enticing offer.
Although Kyle will point out there are obvious issues with Diane working at Jabot, he’s not taking into account the changes in Jack’s mindset. Jack is growing closer to Diane whether he wants to admit it or not.
It turns out Diane took some communication courses and was working toward her public relations certificate out in California.
There’s the potential for Diane to score a Jabot PR job – maybe one at Marchetti if Kyle gets Jack on board.
Then again, Jack may take the lead on this job offer and do his part to help Diane with her fresh start.
There’s even a chance Jack will let Diane pursue her true passion of architecture if he wants her to design a new Marchetti building or something along those lines.
However, a PR gig makes more sense now that Y&R writers have decided to include this new detail in Diane’s offscreen backstory.
This will allow Diane to work at Jabot or perhaps Chancellor-Winters if that plan falls through.
Whatever the case, we should consider the possibility that Jack will present a job offer to Diane since Kyle would be thrilled.
Meanwhile, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) would be wary of unraveling the truce that’s coming up between Diane and Phyllis.
You can bet that Phyllis will indeed be livid if Jack ends up giving Diane a permanent place of employment!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will keep trying to inch her way into Jack’s heart, so she may make more progress in that department.
