The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will return to Genoa City and thwart Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) bold Italy move. Y&R fans know Phyllis has been dealing with some growing concerns about herself now that she’s got so much free time.
Since Jack has been out of town on business, Phyllis hasn’t really known what to do with herself.
Phyllis previously filled her time with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), but she obviously can’t do much of that now that they’re broken up.
Nick’s rather cold response to Phyllis recently proved they’re not really at the level of being friends just yet.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) can meet with Phyllis occasionally, but that’s not enough.
Phyllis’ mind has too much time to wander, which can be dangerous for a gal like her! As a result, Phyllis is seriously considering the offer Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) called her with.
It sounds like Phyllis may have the option to move to Italy and work at Marchetti with her daughter.
It’d be a dream come true for Phyllis to live near Summer and have something fulfilling to do.
At the same time, that’d mean leaving The Grand Phoenix behind. Phyllis might have a tough time abandoning her baby – even temporarily.
Of course, the bigger issue involves Jack, who won’t be out of town forever.
In fact, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will come home to total mayhem on January 28.
Peter Bergman had to take some time off due to emergency eye surgery, but he’ll finally be back on our screens once again.
Jack may find a frenetic Phyllis mulling over Summer’s pitch.
Phyllis might even be scrambling to make arrangements in anticipation of accepting that offer, but Jack can step up to stop her.
Perhaps Jack will admit to doing some soul-searching and realizing he’s done living without Phyllis.
This could be building to a sweet speech about what Jack really wants – and that’s Phyllis by his side.
Jack may think they need to give their romance another try – and to do that, Phyllis needs to stay put.
Phyllis obviously isn’t moving to Italy, but there could be a close call until Jack returns and convinces her to stick around GC.
