There’s been plenty of talk about how Kyle and Summer have been thriving as new parents.
Summer was a bit apprehensive early on, but now she adores Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) as if he were her own.
Since Kyle and Summer are loving parenthood, it may not be long until they decide to give Harrison a sibling.
Harrison would probably love a little brother or sister – and Grandpa Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would certainly be thrilled.
Before Summer and Kyle left town, it had become a running joke for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to assume Summer was pregnant every time she had something to tell them.
One of these days, that’s bound to be the real announcement!
Summer won’t come back visibly pregnant, but she could still have a secret bun in the oven that’ll be announced later.
If not, that could be something Summer and Kyle talk about to set up their next storyline.
Most Y&R babies are unexpected, but Kyle and Summer might actually plan a family expansion based on their positive experience with parenthood.
That’s especially true since Summer will return from Milan rather homesick.
Summer will miss being around her family and may use that to fuel her desire for a bigger family of her own.
Whatever the case, it’d be smart for the writers to take the pregnancy route with Summer.
With Diane back in the mix, she’s going to obsess over Harrison and would no doubt obsess over Summer’s potential new bundle of joy, too.
Once Kyle accepts Diane back into his life and bonds with her, the story can become about Grandma Diane and whether Summer’s willing to trust her around the children.
