The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may hire Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to replace Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as her COO. Will there be a new girl power duo at Chancellor-Winters?
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) never really supported Sally in the CEO role at Newman Media, so it’s not all that surprising that she kicked her to the curb. Once the 90-day trial was over, Victoria was eager to push Sally out – especially after she realized Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was available.
Now Sally is ready to prove she’s a survivor and come roaring back. However, Sally was adamant when it came to turning down Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) help.
Sally doesn’t know what her next move will be, but she knows she wants to figure it out for herself. Of course, we can think of the perfect job for Sally to slide into – one where her talent and drive would be appreciated.
Lily needs to find a replacement for Billy ASAP, so Sally seems like a good option. Sally certainly isn’t too proud to accept a COO role, even if it’s a step down. At least it would give Sally an income and a boss who would truly value her.
Lily is a strong, confident businesswoman, so she needs to hire someone like Sally with those same qualities. Sally may not have a ton of corporate experience, but she still has a little due to her brief time at Newman Media – where she succeeded despite Victoria’s firing decision.
Like Nick pointed out, the numbers don’t lie. Sally was actually blossoming in her position before she got the boot, so that could work in her favor with Lily.
Unlike Billy, Sally loves the corporate life and thrives in that environment. If Lily’s looking for someone who’ll give 100 percent and be a real team player, she should look no further than Sally.
Since Sally worked so well with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she’s used to girl power duos and could form another one with Lily. It’d be great to see Lily support another smart, hard-working woman in the corporate game, so Sally would be an ideal candidate.
