The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) recently addressed her Y&R exit when she responded to fans’ questions about Phyllis departure. Let’s look at some Instagram comments and set the record straight since those posts created some confusion.
The trouble started when Stafford shared a scene from the show, which featured Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) making a speech about why Phyllis should remain in Genoa City instead of moving to Italy.
Stafford talked about adding in some reactions, which LeBlanc and Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair) rolled with.
Stafford was complimentary of her costars and sounded rather reflective about acting in general, so that added to the concerns that Phyllis might actually depart for good.
Of course, the story itself also caused an uproar. Phyllis received an exciting offer to work in Milan with Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) – and she’s been very tempted to take it.
“I hope that all that talk about Phylis leaving doesn’t mean that you are leaving too?” one worried fan said on Instagram.
Stafford replied with “I am!!” and sparked even more fears on January 25, but an earlier Instagram comment clarified it wouldn’t be a lengthy stint off the show.
“After today’s episode of Y & R looks like you may be leaving…I hope not,” another viewer said on Stafford’s January 16 Instagram post.
“Yes!!! For 2 weeks!!” Stafford replied. That lines up with what Amanda and Michael pushed for, which was a trip of reasonable length to Milan.
They couldn’t support the idea of Phyllis moving there, but Michael and Amanda were willing to get on board with Phyllis spending some time away with Summer.
We should note that the latest spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will come home to some Genoa City mayhem on January 28.
The week of January 31-February 4 will also bring some words of wisdom from Jack to Phyllis, so she’ll lean on her familiar confidant for support – apparently ahead of this trip.
