The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 11, teases that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will thrill Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) by agreeing to take a trip together – and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will book a secret flight back to Genoa City. Let’s talk about what Monday’s exciting Y&R episode has in store.
At the café in Los Angeles, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will join Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) before making an admission.
Allie will come clean about visiting Diane again and will think it’s obvious she loves her son deeply.
Allie will get that Diane resorted to some strange tactics, but she’ll think maybe they should give her the benefit of the doubt.
Allie will feel like Diane deserves the chance to reconnect with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but Jack will suggest that decision will be in his son’s hands.
Allie will point out that Kyle could accept Kyle back into his life.
Allie will wonder if Jack will forgive and forget if that happens, but Jack won’t act like that’s possible for him.
Phyllis will back Jack up and insist Diane is dead to her. She’ll also suspect Diane put Allie up to talking to them about this or manipulated her somehow.
Allie will deny that and will think Diane genuinely seems like she wants to do better.
Jack will make sure Allie knows there’s a standing offer to come visit her family in Genoa City, but Allie won’t be able to give him a definite time when she can come.
Things will get a little awkward when Allie wonders if Jack and Phyllis are more than friends since they have such an incredible connection.
Before Phyllis and Jack can answer, Allie will get a text from Diane asking her to come to the house today.
Jack and Phyllis will warn Allie to proceed with caution, so she’ll text back that it won’t be possible.
After Allie thanks Jack for everything, she’ll give him a big hug goodbye and leave her grandfather emotional.
Once Allie is gone, Jack will rant about Diane dragging Allie into her mess.
Jack will point out that he told Diane to stay away, but Phyllis won’t think anyone tells Diane what to do.
“Wanna bet?” Jack will ask before heading back to the house with Phyllis. That’ll lead to a confrontation with Diane, who’ll wonder what Allie accused her of.
Diane will argue that Allie came to her and will suggest Jack should trust his granddaughter to make her own decisions.
However, Jack will act like the fact that he’s helping Diane reach out to Kyle should be enough. He’ll reiterate that Diane needs to leave Allie alone.
Diane will hope for a chance to explain to Kyle how much she loves him.
Phyllis will scoff at the idea of Kyle accepting Diane again – and Jack will feel like all Diane is capable of is breaking hearts. Diane will seem frustrated as Jack and Phyllis leave in a huff.
At the café again, Jack will tell Phyllis that it’s time to head back home.
Phyllis will wonder how they’re going to tell everyone back in Genoa City that Diane is alive, especially since half the population there wanted to kill her.
As for Diane, she’ll get on the phone and request the next available flight from Los Angeles to Genoa City.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will announce their May 13 wedding date to Rey, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).
Sharon will assume they mean next year, but Tessa and Mariah will explain they mean next month since they don’t want to wait.
There’ll be some concerns about the wedding happening on Friday the 13th, but Mariah and Tessa will think it’s a fearless way to throw out all the superstitions.
Faith will still think it sounds like a really bad idea – and Nick will hint that it might creep out some of the guests.
Nevertheless, Mariah and Tessa will stand by their decision since all that really matters is having the people they love around them.
Noah will admit he’s got one more wedding suggestion and will present some artwork to illustrate a ‘70s glam theme.
Tessa and Mariah will absolutely love it, so they’ll feel like everything is coming together.
Rey will think they could have fondue at the reception, but Nick and some of the others will feel like that’d be too messy.
Sharon and Nick will then reminisce about a ‘70s party they once attended, so Rey will look left out right as Chelsea enters.
After Chelsea gets updates on the wedding plans, she’ll step out on the patio with Rey and reveal that her business trip fell through.
Chelsea will admit she picked up an extra ticket for the Blackhawks game and will want to take Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) together.
Rey will hesitate and act like he’d be a third wheel on their mother-son time, but Chelsea will insist that Rey is Connor’s new best friend.
Chelsea will beg Rey not to let Connor down.
Once Rey looks over to see Sharon and Nick’s close moment, he’ll tell Chelsea he’d be happy to go with her. That’ll leave Chelsea grinning over the good news.
