The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 18, tease that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will say a final goodbye to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) after Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) makes a doomed move. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will also tackle a mess, so let’s talk about what’s ahead in Genoa City.
Unfortunately, Rey is set to face a grim fate according to Y&R insiders.
It’s easy to see the pieces for Rey’s deadly exit coming together now that there’s confirmation on the looming car accident.
Of course, Rey’s going to be out on the road due to the Blackhawks game trip that Chelsea roped him into.
Chelsea begged Rey not to let Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) down, so she pushed him into what will ultimately become his final journey.
However, there’ll be more buildup before we get to all the car crash turmoil.
Sharon needs some final scenes to say goodbye to Rey first.
Sharon will expect Rey to come home safe and sound following his trip, but this may be the last time she sees her husband alive.
The show will probably play it up right – with Rey and Sharon talking about their bright future.
They might discuss taking their own trip once Rey gets back, but this Chicago outing is going to end in disaster.
Chelsea will clear the trip with Sharon and make sure they’re all set.
Chelsea will look forward to spending this extra time with Rey since she’s obviously got the hots for him.
Anything that brings Chelsea closer to Rey will be a good thing in her book.
Sadly, Chelsea had better enjoy these last hours with Rey while she can since death is just around the corner.
It’ll be a doomed move when Chelsea sticks to the plan and confirms Rey will be joining them on this trip.
Jack will also have a mess on his hands early during the week of April 18-22.
Will Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) end up speaking with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) before Jack has the chance to warn him?
Whatever the case, Diane is already back in Genoa City – and that alone will create more drama for Jack to deal with.
There are even some rumblings about Diane being involved in the brewing car accident, so her life could soon be at stake for real.
