The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, April 4, teases that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will come to Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) rescue while Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reveals a promotion for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) – at least if his own promotion sticks!
At Society, Chelsea will call Adam and mention that she bought tickets to the Blackhawks game in Chicago.
Chelsea will explain that she already told an excited Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and then found out she had to head to New York on business.
Although Chelsea will hope Adam can take Connor instead, he won’t have time since he just scored the interim CEO position at Newman-Locke.
Sally will overhear and understand why Adam has to put business first right now.
Soon after, Sally will visit Society for takeout and note that she was in the office when the Connor dilemma came up.
Chelsea will be surprisingly civil, so Sally will wonder if that goes beyond their professional lives and into their personal lives.
Chelsea will insist she doesn’t know what’s going on between Sally and Adam.
Chelsea will add that she’s quite frankly not interested – and Rey will catch the end of the conversation as he eavesdrops nearby.
Once Sally leaves, Rey will comment on how happy Chelsea seems.
Chelsea will make it clear that Adam is out of her system, so Rey will wonder what helped her turn the corner.
Chelsea will credit Rey and all his pep talks, but he’ll think she’s selling her own transformation short.
However, Chelsea will admit she’s got a bit of a Connor problem. She’ll explain why there’s no one to take Connor to the Blackhawks game, so Rey will offer to take him if it’s OK with Chelsea and Adam.
Chelsea will think Rey is a lifesaver, but he’ll insist she’s doing him a favor and will look forward to the trip.
At Crimson Lights, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will cross paths with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
They’ll discuss Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) deception before Billy gets text updates from Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), who’ll want Billy to talk to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) ASAP.
In Victoria’s office, she’ll fill Ashland in on Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) decision to appoint Adam temporary CEO.
Ashland will complain about the first sign of a power play, but Victoria will act like it’s fine for Adam to be Victor’s marionette.
After Billy shows up and insists on speaking with Victoria alone, Ashland will make his way to Newman Media.
Billy will taunt Adam about Daddy appointing him “pretend CEO” and will argue that Victor just neutralized Adam’s threat.
Ashland won’t think it’d be wise for Adam to publish any articles against him while serving as interim boss.
Ashland will act like Adam is just babysitting the home office rather than running the whole empire.
Ashland will contend that Victoria’s opinion is the only one that matters to him, but Adam will bring up Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) and how he might feel once he’s old enough to understand the truth.
After Ashland calls Adam a “son of a bitch,” he’ll warn that he shouldn’t get too comfortable in whatever position this is.
Later, Sally will return and learn that Ashland was there trying to intimidate Adam.
From Adam’s perspective, Ashland will seem unnerved and off his game.
Adam will know Victoria is up to something and will suggest that maybe she thinks handling Ashland one-on-one in Tuscany is for the best.
That’ll be fine with Adam since he’ll intend to prove he’s more equipped than his gullible sister in the meantime.
Sally will wonder what the future holds for her if Adam is successful.
Adam will note that if he replaces Victoria, he’ll need a creative, energetic replacement at Newman Media.
Sally will absolutely love the way Adam thinks and will kiss him passionately.
As for Billy, he’ll need to know that Victoria isn’t going to forgive Ashland.
Billy will have concerns about Victoria’s mysterious plan and won’t think it’s wise to leave the country with her lying husband.
Billy just won’t think it’s safe, but Victoria will act like he’s being melodramatic.
Victoria will assure Billy that Victor will have his security team intermingling with the staff at the palazzo.
Victoria won’t believe there’s a risk and will promise that their children won’t be exposed to Ashland anymore once she’s through.
As Billy exits, he’ll push Victoria to promise that she’ll be careful as well.
When Ashland comes back, Victoria will admit Billy’s worried he might harm her.
Ashland will be appalled and will insist he hates the idea of Victoria thinking that for even a moment.
Victoria will push Ashland to once again tell her that the accusations aren’t true.
Ashland will declare that he loves Victoria too much to hurt her in any way whatsoever.
After Victoria says that’s all she needed to hear, she’ll embrace Ashland while looking pensive.
At home, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will have a romantic setup prepared for Nate, who’ll be running late.
After Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) show up, Elena will spend some time with them while she waits.
Nate will be distracted over all the Ashland drama when he arrives at the penthouse, but he’ll shake it off and focus on toasting with the others.
Elena will admit the idea of Nate leaving medicine took some getting used to, but she’ll feel like it’ll be rewarding for him to work with his family.
Devon will propose a toast to new adventures for all of them, so there’ll be cheers all around.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate’s new job will bring some new corporate obstacles, so don’t miss what’s ahead.
