The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, April 4 Update – Victoria’s Confession Horrifies Ashland – Adam Rejects Chelsea’s Plea

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, April 4, teases that Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) confession will horrify Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) – and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will reject Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) plea for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victoria will try to smooth things over with Ashland after divulging the temporary CEO news.

Ashland will fear Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is making a power play by putting Adam in charge, but Victoria will suggest it’s not a big deal.

Even so, Ashland will feel the need to pay Adam a visit and set him straight.

Before Ashland arrives, Adam will take a call from Chelsea and learn she’s got tickets to a Blackhawks game in Chicago.

Chelsea will hope Adam can take Connor since she’ll have a sudden scheduling conflict.

Unfortunately, Adam will decline time with his son due to his promotion of sorts, so Chelsea will dread disappointing Connor.

Sally will get updates on Adam’s dilemma and mention when she runs into Chelsea at Society.

Chelsea and Sally will manage to have a fairly nice conversation, so Sally will be taken aback over her old foe’s attitude adjustment.

Chelsea will hope Adam has found what he’s looking for with Sally.

Chelsea won’t particularly care what’s going on with them personally, so Rey will overhear and think it’s great that Chelsea’s moving on.

Chelsea will admit that Rey’s friendship and pep talks have helped her tremendously.

When Rey mentions how hard Chelsea’s worked to improve her life, she’ll thank him for noticing.

Rey will also find out about Chelsea’s trip to New York getting in the way of the hockey game.

After Rey learns Adam can’t go either, he’ll volunteer to take Connor and leave Chelsea beyond grateful.

Back at Newman Media, Ashland will blow in and act like Adam is just a glorified company babysitter.

Ashland won’t think Victor’s temporary CEO appointment means Adam’s truly running the empire.

Ashland will also point out that as interim CEO, Adam isn’t really in a position to follow through on his disparaging article threats.

It wouldn’t be a good look if the temp boss published info about Ashland’s hoodwinking.

Ashland previously warned Adam not to mention Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), but Adam will ignore that warning and mention him anyway.

Adam will act like Harrison’s opinion will matter someday when he’s old enough to grasp what Ashland’s done.

Ashland will fume and make it clear that Adam’s not going to be in the interim CEO spot for long.

Of course, Adam will want to stay there permanently – and if he pulls it off, he’ll plan to let Sally run Newman Media. Sally will be ecstatic when Adam shares that news with her later.

At the coffeehouse, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will remain deep in thought over Ashland’s deception.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Nate that he’s in the loop on Ashland’s sick lies, but he’ll have to take off to deal with Victoria following Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) text.

Billy will corner Victoria alone to voice his concerns about her leaving the country with Ashland.

Billy won’t like being left in the dark on Victoria’s plan and will fear Ashland could do harm to her.

Victoria will assure Billy that she’s got everything under control. She’ll insist she’s looked at this from every angle and won’t believe she’s in real jeopardy.

Victoria will contend that by the time she’s done, Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) won’t have to be exposed to Ashland anymore.

Billy will hope Victoria’s right and he’ll push her to be careful with her next steps.

Meanwhile, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will arrive at Nate and Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) penthouse.

They’ll see that Elena’s all dressed up and seems to have a romantic setup, but she’ll encourage them to stay since Nate’s running late anyway.

Nate will eventually join the impromptu party and will seem a little out of sorts due to all the Ashland drama.

There’ll also be questions about Elena’s true feelings regarding Nate’s job change.

However, Elena will give Nate her full support now that he’s going to be working with Devon and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Elena will think Nate will enjoy working with family, so Devon will propose a toast to all the new adventures they’re going to have.

Once Ashland returns to Victoria’s office, she’ll confess Billy’s fears about Ashland harming her.

Ashland will claim that’s outrageous and will be disgusted over Billy even planting the idea in Victoria’s head.

Ashland will complain about this smear campaign, but he’ll insist he only cares about what Victoria thinks.

When Victoria pushes Ashland to tell her again that he’d never do anything so deceitful and ugly, he’ll confirm that he wouldn’t.

Ashland will declare that he loves Victoria too much to hurt her in any way whatsoever.

Ashland will add that the most painful part of all this is for Victoria to doubt that – even for a moment.

Victoria will act convinced of that as she pulls Ashland close, but she’ll look concerned over his shoulder.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria could put herself in a dangerous situation if this keeps up, so stay tuned!
