The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, August 15 Update – Kyle’s Strange Discovery – Phyllis’ First Day at Marchetti

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 15, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will make a strange discovery while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has her first day at Marchetti.

First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will come home to find Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) grumbling to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about the cover-up.

Victor will make it clear that Nick should focus on Newman Enterprises and not get sanctimonious.

On the coffeehouse patio, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will have some security footage that he was able to recover and rebuild.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) won’t be able to see the face in the video, but he’ll see that someone tossed a cigarette butt aside and covered his tracks on the ground.

That’ll confirm to Chance and Kevin that someone other than Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drove his car that night.

Of course, Kevin and Chance already established that one of Victor’s guards smoked, so they’ll view this new proof as a game-changer.

After Chance presents the video at the ranch, Victor won’t act like it amounts to much.

Chance will refuse to give up on pursuing the truth, but Victor will act like he’s got his priorities wrong.

Victor will think Chance needs to develop a stronger sense of family and will pose a hypothetical question.

Supposing that Chance’s theory is true about him protecting innocent Nick and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Victor will bring Chance’s wife into the equation.

Victor will bring up how Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) could’ve landed in a situation where she had to kill Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan).

If Abby had killed Stitch to protect herself and unborn child, would Chance still feel the same about Victor intervening?

Chance won’t even respond to that since he won’t think a hypothetical dilemma affects this case.

After Chance points his finger and rants about his oath as a cop, Victor will put him in his place and warn against doing that next time around.

At Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will return from a doctor’s appointment and reveal that she’s allowed to talk again.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will express how happy they are over Tessa’s next recovery step.

Mariah will discuss that PR is now included in her job description, so it’s weird to have Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) working for her.

After Mariah and Faith leave, Tessa will lean on Sharon for support and worry that her singing career might be over.

Sharon will be optimistic about Tessa’s future, but she’ll also think this brand ambassador gig at Marchetti sounds great in the meantime.

After Sharon sells her on the idea, Tessa will decide she’d be an idiot to pass it up.

Once the lunch bill comes at Society, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will snatch it from Phyllis and insist she’s putting it on the expense account.

Summer will feel like the company can spring for lunch on Phyllis’ first official day.

However, Summer will also take this opportunity to offer a reminder.

When it comes to Diane, Phyllis has been ordered to steer clear of her unless they have to work together on something.

After Phyllis promises she understands, she’ll head to the office with Summer.

When Kyle arrives at the park, he’ll see Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) looking awfully chummy.

Jack will connect with Diane as they watch Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) in the sandbox and will tell Diane to have a nice day as he goes.

Kyle will struggle to get used to this vibe between his mom and dad – especially after he seemingly notices Diane’s heart eyes.

Diane will join Kyle at Jabot next, so that’ll lead to them crossing paths with Phyllis, Summer and Mariah.

After Diane and Phyllis put on a phony nice act, Kyle will present a contract for Phyllis to sign in another room.

Phyllis will officially become the head of Marchetti’s home division, so Summer and Kyle will be hopeful about her keeping the peace with Diane.

Once Phyllis hints about what she wants to accomplish, she’ll secretly text her partners in crime.

Nikki and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will learn that Phyllis signed the paperwork, so she’s ready to roll.

In Victoria’s office, she’ll get a visit from Abby and score some sympathy.

After Victoria talks about genuinely fearing for her life that night, she’ll credit Nick with saving her from Ashland.

Abby’s heart will go out to Victoria, who’ll feel like this nightmare still isn’t over.

Victoria will talk about Ashland losing control of his car and won’t get why Chance isn’t accepting that outcome.

Once Victoria insists she was honest along with Nick, she’ll hope Abby can get through to her husband.

Victoria will just want Chance to see how much they all need to move on.

At the coffeehouse again, Nikki will gripe when she realizes Nick brought Sharon in the loop on everything. Even so, Nick will argue that he trusts Sharon and needed someone to confide in.

After Victor calls a meeting at the ranch, Nick and Nikki will arrive.

Victoria won’t be far behind, so Victor will announce Chance’s discovery once everyone gathers.

Victor will note that his security team is going to pay for their blunder, but Nick will be more concerned about what Chance found out and how close he is to the truth.

Back in the park, Chance will remain on edge after his faceoff with Victor.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chance’s tight spot could get even tighter, so stick with the CBS soap.

CDL will have other fantastic Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so drop by often.
