The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, August 29, tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will have a big decision to make while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) swap confessions. Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will also quiz Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), so let’s talk about what’s coming up on Y&R.
First, Jack will find himself on the hot seat. If there’s another flirty moment between Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Traci might be there to witness it.
Then again, maybe Traci will simply find out about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) latest concerns.
Traci may wonder if Jack has really taken Diane off the table as a romantic option.
Whatever the case, Traci will put her brother through a grilling session, so Jack may give her the same warning he gave Kyle.
Although Jack appreciates his family looking out for him, he doesn’t need a babysitter.
Over with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), they’ll make a bold move.
There’ll be a situation that Phyllis and Nikki are about to use against Diane, so the next phase of their plot will move forward.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will lash out when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) offers a sneaky strategy.
Victoria will think she has a way to turn the tables on Adam using Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and the cover-up story proposal.
However, Nick won’t want Sally dragged into more Newman drama.
This obsessive need for protecting the family will really strike a nerve with Nick, who won’t want Victoria to shield him.
Nick will start to understand Adam’s perspective somewhat – at least when it comes to this idea of the Newmans never facing true repercussions.
Victor tends to make sure of that, and now Victoria is following in his manipulative footsteps.
At some point, Nick will corner Sally and help her find the right path.
Maybe Nick will urge Sally to stop listening to his siblings and focus on running Newman Media the way she sees fit.
That could leave Sally with a decision to make about the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) evidence and how all these key Newman players fit in.
Sally may have to figure out where her loyalty lies and what she can live with.
Regardless, Sally will have to choose the road she heads down. With Nick’s help, it sounds like Sally will choose wisely.
Finally, Adam and Chelsea will realize they’re both down in the dumps.
After dancing around why, Chelsea will suggest coming clean to each other – and Adam may decide they might as well.
