The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 12, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will keep a dangerous secret while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) launches an apology tour.
Despite Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) concerns about Chelsea’s mood swings, he’ll see that she’s having a pleasant morning with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) when he shows up at her apartment.
While Adam’s taking Connor to school, Y&R spoilers say Chelsea will kick off an apology tour as part of her recovery.
Chelsea will start by making amends to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who’ll accept her apology and assure Chelsea that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is listening, too – even if he’d say no apology is necessary.
Once Adam returns, he’ll get an apology as well. Although Adam will blame himself for his poor treatment of Chelsea, she’ll own her mistakes and leave him impressed.
Chelsea will admit Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) are still on her list.
Making amends to Billy will be the most daunting task for Chelsea, who’ll tell Adam that’s going to be a difficult conversation.
At Society, Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will argue about whether she pushed Chelsea to stay away.
Lily will deny it and act like Billy is twisting things since she was quite supportive of Chelsea.
Billy will still find it odd that Chelsea tried to keep him at a distance after that conversation.
It’ll leave Billy wondering if Lily feels threatened by his bond with Chelsea, but she’ll insist that’s not the case.
Lily will claim this is about Billy chasing the next high and gambling with Chelsea’s recovery.
There’ll be fears about where Billy’s crusade will lead, but he’ll think it’s outrageous for Lily to act like he needs some savior fix.
Billy will get summoned to Chelsea’s apartment via text, so Lily will push him to go since he’s distracted anyway.
There won’t be anything more for Lily to say, so she’ll feel like Billy should just go running to Chelsea as usual.
After Daniel Romalotti Jr (Michael Graziadei) visits Summer at work, he’ll realize there’s extra security and wonder if he should worry.
Summer will downplay things and speak with Jack privately about the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) plan paying off.
Diane will be safely at the cabin thanks to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but Jack and Summer will know they can’t let anyone know that – especially not Diane’s takedown team.
Jack will highlight the importance of convincing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) that Diane is gone and getting him to hit the road, too.
After Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) tells Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about Diane leaving Genoa City, they’ll think that’s a relief.
Phyllis will head to Marchetti and pretend she hasn’t heard anything about Diane, but Jack will seemingly see through the charade.
After Jack rants about Phyllis getting what she wanted and stomps off, Summer will also let her mom have it for going too far.
At the Abbott house, Ashley will battle guilt over Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) since he’ll wonder where his “DiDi” is.
Jack will find Ashley and Nikki talking, so he’ll chew them out for driving Diane to leave and breaking Kyle’s heart along with Harrison’s.
At Jabot again, Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) will find Phyllis in Jack’s office and grill her about Diane’s whereabouts.
Phyllis will insist she doesn’t know anything, but Jeremy will mention that she tipped him off to Diane’s betrayal and will want to go somewhere else for a private discussion.
While Jeremy puts some fear in Phyllis, Daniel will spot Lily at Society and sense that she’s upset.
Although Lily will clam up, Daniel will try to bring her walls down by insisting she can tell him anything.
Once Billy visits Chelsea’s apartment, she’ll offer updates on her desire to make amends.
Billy will be pleased over Chelsea taking the steps to heal, but she’ll have a hard time finding the right words.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea will do her best to apologize to Billy and move beyond her problematic history.
