The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, December 19, teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will joke around with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) about corny Christmas keepsakes as they decorate Crimson Lights.
After Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) serves Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) a special drink on their date at the club, he’ll head to the coffeehouse for holiday fun.
Since Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will be in Switzerland with her roommate’s family, Tessa will offer good news to lift Sharon’s spirits.
When Tessa mentions they’re meeting a pregnant woman after New Year’s about a potential adoption, Mariah will seem upset.
Although Mariah won’t be mad about Tessa spilling the beans, she’ll worry about getting everyone’s hopes up after what happened last time.
Mariah will get emotional since even the idea of a baby is making its way into her heart.
Sharon will think that’s a good thing and will assure Tessa that her announcement indeed cheered her up.
Since Mariah and Tessa will be a step closer to a new baby, it’ll make the holiday that much brighter.
Once Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) shows up at Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) place with Esther Valentine’s (Kate Linder) Christmas pastry, they’ll share some laughs on the sofa.
Chelsea will admit it’s nice to just talk normally instead of about therapy and heavier topics.
That said, Chelsea will want to make amends with Chloe and will apologize for blaming her when she saw warning signs.
Chloe will accept Chelsea’s apology and talk about wanting to help her bestie find her purpose.
Chelsea will hint about needing a complete personal and professional makeover, but she’ll plan to get it right this time.
At the ranch, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have a couple of favors to ask Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Victor will happily agree when it comes to Adam bringing Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to the holiday festivities, but he won’t like Adam’s second favor regarding Chelsea.
Since Chelsea overstepped with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind), Victor will have concerns about Chelsea’s motives and won’t want her there for Christmas.
However, Adam will act like Connor should be with both his parents and will point out Chelsea had no way of knowing how Johnny would react to the bio mom truth.
Besides, Johnny and Connor have been growing closer since they learned they were brothers, so Adam won’t see the issue.
Adam will also remind Victor of how he forced Chelsea to fake a breakdown and get institutionalized.
Victor will fire back that it benefited Chelsea since he helped her avoid criminal prosecution.
After going back and forth for a while, Victor will finally relent on letting Chelsea tag along. When Adam says he appreciates that, Victor will insist that he should.
Later, Victor will give Nikki updates on the situation, so she’ll admit Victoria said Chelsea had been in a bad place.
Nikki will support the idea of Adam being there for the holidays since she’ll know Victor would like to bring him back into the family fold.
Victor will contend that since Adam was the one who walked away, he’ll have to make the first move if he wants back in.
Nikk will suggest that maybe Adam choosing to be with the family on Christmas is the first step.
Back with Chloe and Chelsea, they’ll admire the holiday decorations at Crimson Lights.
Adam will call Chelsea to reveal that Connor begged to stay the night at the ranch and help decorate the barn.
Chelsea will admit she was looking forward to spending time with Connor, but she’ll joke about not denying the horses and assure Adam that she’ll be fine alone.
Afterward, Chelsea will reject Sharon’s efforts to include her in Christmas decorating and will want to go on a crisp walk by herself.
That’ll leave Sharon and Chloe looking concerned.
Outside, Adam will spot Chelsea leaving the coffeehouse and catch up with her as she listens to Christmas carolers.
After Adam asks if he can join Chelsea, he’ll confess to being a little lonely without Connor, too.
Chelsea will confirm she still wants to attend the Newman family gathering and will wonder how Adam really feels about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) stepping up for her lately.
All that’ll matter to Adam is Chelsea’s recovery, so he’ll offer reassurance.
Chelsea will ask how Adam’s holding up following his split from Sally, so he’ll admit he has moments of self-pity and loneliness.
Even so, Adam will want to focus on the fact that he has a wonderful son with a caring mother.
After Adam suggests concentrating on their family this Christmas, Chelsea will take his arm and smile as they enjoy the carolers together.
As for Mariah and Tessa, Y&R spoilers say they’ll gaze at the manger in the nativity scene at Crimson Lights.
Nikki and Victor will also share a sweet dance together back at the ranch.
Once Nick joins Sally for a nightcap in her suite, they’ll discuss Christmas plans and how Sally doesn’t want Nick to feel obligated to include her.
Nick will admit his family has trust issues when it comes to Sally and will mention Victor having a whole dossier on her.
Sally will find out Nick didn’t read it, but she’ll wish that he had – just so she’d know if anything in her past is a dealbreaker.
Nick will feel like the most important thing is who Sally is now and will end up making love with her soon after.
As they bask in the afterglow, Nick will insist he’s happy to change his holiday plans for Sally.
Once Nick suggests he’ll spend some time with his family and then do something special with Sally later, she’ll think that sounds perfect.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick and Sally will remain on the right track for now, but trouble could be brewing down the road!
