The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, December 26, teases that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will run into Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) in the hallway outside Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse.
Abby will have Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) with her and will deliver the Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) divorce news.
Once Nate and Elena offer comfort, Devon will open the door and glare at Nate in a tense moment.
In his own home afterward, the wheels will start turning for Nate, who’ll feel like this divorce is happening out of the blue – just like Devon’s split from Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Nate will also find it suspicious that Abby is showing up to see Devon now, but Elena will think he’s jumping to a lot of conclusions.
Besides, Elena won’t think it’s any of their business and won’t get why Nate’s fixating on Devon’s potential romantic involvement with Abby.
Nate will note that Devon has been condemning him for being deceitful and duplicitous when the same could be said of Devon.
Elena will call Nate out for trying to turn Devon into a hypocrite instead of just enjoying Christmas with her.
After Elena urges Nate to let it go, she’ll insist he needs to be fixing things with his family – not making things worse.
Across the hall, Abby will give Devon a similar speech and text Elena about getting the four of them together for a drink.
Although Abby will admit Devon doesn’t know yet, she’ll think she can get him on board – and Elena will think she can do the same.
Soon after, Nate and Elena will join Devon and Abby for some wine.
There’ll be some awkwardness at first, but the tension will lift a bit once Devon and Nate reflect on some old photos that became treasured family memories..
At the cabin on Monday’s Y&R episode, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will give Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) a gentle nudge to keep their special Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) visit under wraps.
While Kyle and Harrison are building a snowman outside, Summer will blast Diane for asking Kyle to keep secrets from her.
Diane will apologize since she was terrified of anyone other than Kyle and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) knowing she helped convict Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).
Diane will also point out that she can’t forget who Summer’s mother is – though she’ll sympathize with Summer for having to balance her loyalty to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with her support of Kyle.
Summer will argue that what Phyllis did was out of bounds, but she’ll refuse to turn her back on her mom.
That said, Summer would never share info that would put any of them in danger.
After Summer warns Diane not to underestimate her, she’ll add that Diane shouldn’t put Kyle in the position of choosing between his mother and his wife.
Summer will point out that they’ll have a serious problem if Diane does that again.
Diane will seem impressed over Summer’s protectiveness and will reassure her about that being the last time.
At Crimson Lights, Chance will help Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) with cleanup since he arrived too late to pack Christmas delivery boxes.
Sharon will open up about missing Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and will connect with Chance since he lost his own family unit.
At the Abbott house, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will drop off presents for the entire Abbott clan while wearing a Santa hat.
Once Tucker whisks Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) off for lunch, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will fret to Jack about their unsettled family. Both Jack and Traci will try to remain hopeful about getting things back on track.
At Society, Ashley will realize Abby closed the restaurant for Christmas, but she’ll have a key that her daughter gave her in case of emergencies.
Ashley won’t think Abby will mind if she uses the kitchen with Tucker as long as they clean up.
Once Tucker and Ashley bond while making a meal together, they’ll chat as they eat it.
Tucker will talk about his elaborate business plan that would be a dream come true for Ashley.
Sometimes Ashley will feel like she knows Tucker, but other times she’ll feel like she doesn’t know him at all.
Nevertheless, Tucker will assure Ashley that she knows him better than anyone.
Back at the cabin, Kyle will take a call from Jack, who’ll reveal the risky Jeremy deal he struck.
Kyle will realize his mom’s still in danger, but Diane will decide to stop hiding in fear and will have another idea for how to handle Jeremy.
Outside the Abbott house, Ashley will admit she’s not prepared to consider Tucker’s offer to leave Jabot. Even so, Ashley will be flattered since it’s nice to be wanted.
Tucker will give Ashley a kiss before he leaves, so Jack will witness the close moment from inside.
Once Jack calls Ashley out for making one mistake after another, she’ll wish her brother would just trust her.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tucker should get some positive updates from Ashley eventually since she’s pulling away from her family more every day.
