The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, December 26, teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will confide in Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) as he helps her tidy up at Crimson Lights. Although last Christmas was ordinary, it was still special since Sharon spent it with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso).
Sharon expected to have many more Christmases with her husband, so she’ll open up about missing Rey now.
After Chance opens up about his own sense of loss due to his divorce, Sharon will suggest they should just listen and skip the advice today.
After Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) run into Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), they’ll hear about her divorce from Chance.
Nate will dwell on the timing and match it up with Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) abrupt breakup from Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Once Nate puts the clues together, he’ll think Devon and Abby might be more than friends.
Elena will scold Nate for even speculating and won’t think it’s his place to get involved.
Although Nate will try to catch Devon being a hypocrite, Elena will push him to concentrate on repairing his damaged family.
Devon will keep the blame on Nate during his own discussion with Abby, but she’ll want to help them reconnect.
Abby will text Elena and conspire about the four of them having drinks together, so they’ll set a little trap and make it tough for the cousins to say no.
Surprisingly, Nate and Devon will manage to get along as they reflect on some funny family stories and pictures that became important memories.
At the Abbott house, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will drop off a sack full of gifts for Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and the rest of the fam.
Once Tucker asks Ashley out to lunch, they’ll show up at Society and discover it’s locked up tight due to the holiday.
Ashley will save the day by using the key Abby gave her for emergencies.
Since they’ll plan to clean up after themselves in the kitchen, Ashley won’t think Abby will care.
Tucker will keep up his efforts to woo Ashley as they cook and ultimately dine together.
The opportunity will arise for another business pitch, but Ashley still won’t be willing to walk away from Jabot yet.
That said, Ashley will appreciate Tucker’s persistence and flattery.
The pair will share a kiss outside the Abbott front door, so Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will fume when he spies it.
Ashley will grow frustrated with Jack’s last of trust, so the tension between them will remain.
Speaking of tension, there’ll be some at Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) cabin hideout as well. Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will scold Diane, who pushed Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to keep her deal to convict Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) a secret.
Once Summer makes it clear that there are no secrets in her marriage, she’ll warn Diane not to make Kyle choose between them again.
Diane will work to convince Summer that was a mistake she won’t repeat.
Y&R spoilers say Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) will have a blast building a snowman with Kyle and picking out pinecones with Diane as well as Summer.
However, there’ll be more drama once Jack calls with updates on his Jeremy agreement.
Jack won’t trust Jeremy to keep his end of the bargain, so Kyle won’t think Diane can come home anytime soon.
Diane will hear the latest news and determine that they need a strategy shift.
Since hiding like this isn’t the best long-term solution, Diane will settle on another plan to get Jeremy off her back.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will put herself in more danger soon, but she’ll do it with the goal of finding freedom again!
