The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, February 28 Update – Traci Smells Scam – Billy’s Podcast Fail – Devon Rejects Lily

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, February 28, teases that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will face a podcast disaster while Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) smells a scam. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also reject Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) proposal for now, so there’ll be some great drama playing out in Genoa City.

At home, Billy will have a disastrous experience trying to record his first podcast. He’ll have a hard time with the equipment and will feel like he’s rambling once he gets going.

Billy will spill some stuff off the table and start spewing platitudes, so he won’t think this is going well at all.

As for Lily, she’ll confirm that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is fully on board with a proposition that could change the game for Chancellor Industries.

During a break from his podcast attempt, Billy will acknowledge that he’s struggling to find his voice.

Lily will give Billy a pep talk before filling him in on her Chancellor idea offscreen.

Although Billy will act supportive, Lily will worry since he won’t be as “wowed” as she thought he’d be.

At the Abbott mansion, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will see how Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is holding up now that he knows Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) is dead.

Traci will also comfort Jack, who’ll fixate on Keemo’s final email and how he pushed his dad away.

As for the mysterious texts, Phyllis will worry that the person behind them wanted Jack to face the deadly blow in a cruel way.

Phyllis will also contemplate the possibility that there was more to the story of why Keemo died.

Traci will suspect a scam and will advise against hunting for more answers in Los Angeles, but Phyllis won’t think Jack can just let this go.

In the end, Jack will side with Phyllis and think this is indeed something he needs to pursue further.

Another text about the answers being in LA will confirm that for Jack.

At the penthouse, Devon will talk to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) about Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor’s (Rainn and River Ware) recovery, which will be going great according to Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) text updates.

Devon will hope to bring Dominic over to his place just as soon as the doctor clears it.

Devon will want to make up for some lost days with the baby and will confirm that Amanda’s not too busy for more Dom time.

Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will show up soon after and invite herself to the meeting Amanda’s about to attend with Devon.

Amanda won’t be thrilled, but she’ll allow it – though things won’t go well once they all arrive at Lily and Billy’s condo.

Lily’s big idea will involve a merger of Chancellor Industries and Hamilton-Winters.

Lily will think they should join their companies to become Chancellor Winters, but Imani will basically act like Lily is all talk and no substance.

Imani will think they need to work out the nitty-gritty up front, but Amanda will softly shush her sister and suggest this is just a preliminary meeting.

Devon will talk about how he loves having total autonomy at Hamilton-Winters, but Lily will push him to think of what they could build together.

Lily will also point out that Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) wanted them to team up in business, but Devon will remain hesitant – particularly since he needs to be there for Dominic, who’s going through a health crisis.

Although Devon will hate to disappoint Lily, he’ll turn down the merger plan for now and just see how their joint podcast venture goes first.

Once Lily is alone, she’ll pick up a picture of Neil and make it clear that she’s going to fight for this. Lily will want to work with Devon like Neil wanted them to.

Back at the penthouse on Monday’s Y&R episode, Amanda won’t want to overstep, but Devon will genuinely want her opinion.

That’ll lead to Amanda confessing that she could hopefully work out an agreement that would benefit both sides.

Amanda will definitely like the idea of Devon and Lily building this epic family business together.

However, Billy will give his podcast another shot as he discusses Lily’s merger goal and admits to feeling on the outside.

Billy won’t feel like part of Lily’s family and won’t think he’s part of that dream.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy will continue to feel like an outsider, so that could lead to major problems in his romance.
