The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, February 7, teases that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will make a sad dad confession while Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) gets a COO shock and talks about her fireworks with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Let’s discuss all the drama coming up in Monday’s exciting Y&R episode.
At Newman Media, Sally will want to nail down the details of her new job.
Adam will understand that Sally needs specifics, so he’ll ask what she’d say to becoming the new chief operating officer of Newman Media.
Sally will be blown away over Adam’s offer to make her COO since she’s not exactly the obvious choice.
However, Adam will respect and admire the fire Sally brings to the table. He’ll assure Sally that he can handle any pushback from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) or Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle).
Sally will be on board, so Adam will suggest having a celebratory drink.
Before they go any further, Sally will want to talk about their personal relationship since the hug she gave Adam was more than one you’d give a coworker.
Adam will acknowledge that he had to cool down after that.
Sally will think the fireworks between them are palpable and will feel like it takes every ounce of self-discipline not to act on her feelings sometimes.
Sally will feel like they’re both avoiding their feelings, so Adam will ultimately admit he wants her just as much as she wants him.
That said, Adam will think Sally knows it’s not that simple.
After Sally and Adam address the complications, they’ll agree to work out their professional relationship and then figure things out personally.
Adam and Sally will part ways for the night looking full of temptation for each other.
After Chelsea checks in a suite at The Grand Phoenix for an extended stay, she’ll put out a framed photo of herself with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Chelsea will see a text from Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) expressing hope about their latest endeavor before heading back out the door.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will get the feeling that Rey thinks she’s obsessing too much over Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).
Rey will assure Sharon that she’s a great mother and will catch her off guard with a comment about her family.
Sharon will correct Rey since it’s THEIR family, not just her own. She’ll worry that someone said something to make Rey feel like an outsider, but he’ll insist it’s nothing like that.
Rey will explain that there are fleeting “what if” moments when he sees Sharon and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) with their children.
Rey has times when he considers the life he might’ve had since he missed out on the whole parenting thing, but he’ll assure Sharon that he loves their life now.
At Society, Nick will distract Noah with empanadas, but Noah will feel like his dad’s worried about his feelings for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) and his engagement party struggles.
Noah won’t be interested in a bunch of questions and will let Nick know he’s going to be fine.
Back at the coffeehouse, Chelsea will interrupt and see all the party decorations up from earlier. She’ll realize they’re closed, but Sharon will offer her some warm cider anyway.
Chelsea will mention that the fashion platform is no longer part of Newman Media, but she’ll be hopeful about funding for a new project with Chloe.
Chelsea will also mention that Sally won’t be part of it and that Adam has found some other role for her.
Sharon will seem a little uncomfortable as Rey offers Chelsea some advice.
Rey won’t think Chelsea should waste a drop of energy worrying about Adam’s relationship with Sally. He’ll urge Chelsea to look to the future and close the door on that chapter with Adam.
Once Nick arrives, he’ll step aside with Sharon to discuss Noah. Sharon will be concerned over Noah shutting them out, but she’ll realize this is something he has to work through himself.
Nick will insist that he genuinely thinks Noah will be OK.
While Nick and Sharon share a bonding moment, Chelsea will have one of her own with Rey.
Chelsea will contend that never in a million years did she think they would become friends, but here they are!
Chelsea will think Rey is the “real deal” and someone who sees her for who she really is.
Chelsea will show off some hockey pics of Connor on her phone, so Rey will seem to admire her as a good mother.
At their apartment, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will surprise Tessa with a romantic setup.
They’ll keep their engagement party night going strong with chocolate martinis and talk about how lucky they are to be with each other.
After making love, Tessa and Mariah will acknowledge the heart Noah drew on their engagement poster.
Mariah will mention getting all the weirdness out with Noah earlier and will know he’s working hard to make things OK for everyone.
Tessa will think they have to show Noah that nothing’s changed for the three of them.
Mariah will suggest that sounds like a plan before they get back to their own steamy private celebration.
Meanwhile, Noah will dream that he’s at the coffeehouse, where Tessa will tell him that all her songs are for him.
Noah will share a passionate kiss with Tessa before waking up startled and looking frustrated.
