The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, January 17 Update – Abby Ready for Dominic War – Victoria Plots World Domination

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, January 17, teases that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be ready for a Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) war. Meanwhile, Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) will decide she doesn’t buy Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) lie about their father, so let’s discuss what’s in store.

At Crimson Lights, Adam will confront Victoria while she’s sitting with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi).

Adam will strike up a conversation about Victoria taking the credit for stopping Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) scheme, so Victoria will act like even a child could see through Billy’s strategy.

Adam will think that’s interesting since Victoria seemed in the dark at the ranch earlier.

Adam will start dropping hints about competition, but Victoria won’t think a little startup like Newman Media is in the same league as a powerhouse conglomerate like Newman-Locke.

Even so, Adam will suspect Victoria’s going after Newman Media and will act like her first step was trying to turn father against son.

Adam will make it clear that plan didn’t work. He’ll fib about Victoria only managing to bring him closer to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but she obviously won’t believe him.

After Victoria suggests Victor may not always have Adam’s back, Adam will offer a threat of his own.

Adam will tell Victoria and Ashland he may not always have their backs either, but the warning won’t bother Victoria at all.

Victoria will continue plotting world domination with an impressed Ashland by her side.

At Billy and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) condo, they’ll discuss what Billy missed while he was in Chicago patching things up with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

After Lily shows Billy the text Adam sent wishing her good luck, they’ll agree about it being a threatening message.

Lily will reveal that she put Adam in his place and let him know Billy was coming to work for her in the COO position. She’ll admit she took great pleasure in telling Ashland as well.

Billy will look over the press release Lily has prepared announcing his new role and will seem tickled pink over her excitement.

At the ranch, Victor will be pleased when Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) shows up looking for more info on the legal counsel offer.

Victor will feel good about working out a deal that’ll tackle all Michael’s concerns.

Victor will admit he’s worried about the Locke in Newman-Locke and will call Ashland a wildcard. He’ll acknowledge that Ashland loves Victoria, who loves Ashland right back.

Even so, Victor won’t think Ashland can be trusted – especially if he makes a full recovery and perhaps feels the merger was a mistake once he’s well.

Victor will want Michael on his team for the potential storm ahead, so their toast will seemingly indicate that Michael’s on board.

At the Chancellor mansion, Abby will demand to speak with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) alone.

After Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) head to the coffeehouse, Abby will rip into Devon for legally pushing for more time with Dominic.

Abby will remind Devon that he was the DONOR and become outraged when he acts like Dom’s father instead.

Abby wlll feel like Devon thinks she’s a bad mother because she left Dominic with him when she went to Spain.

However, Devon will insist his issues lie solely with Chance, whose mental state is concerning and could affect Dom.

Abby will argue that Devon is only going to make things harder on Chance with this shared custody push. She’ll want Devon to back off and let their family heal, but he just won’t be willing to do that.

Abby will imply that Devon’s being selfish and will be truly heartbroken over this betrayal.

Chance, on the other hand, will surprise Amanda during their conversation at Crimson Lights. He’ll get Devon’s perspective and will be more open to Devon’s involvement in Dominic’s life.

Amanda will make it clear that Devon isn’t going after full custody or asking for anything too outrageous.

Devon just wants some scheduled visits in his home and a legal acknowledgment of his presence in Dominic’s life.

Later, Devon will gripe to Amanda about Abby acting like he’s unraveling her whole family.

Amanda will confess that although she sees where Devon’s coming from, she also has empathy for Chance and Abby.

Amanda will seem impressed by Chance’s desire to put Dominic first and try to be the best father he can.

That’s why Amanda will want to be straight with Devon about what it’ll take to pull off a shared custody victory.

It’ll require putting Chance on trial – and that means the situation could get ugly.

That won’t be what Devon wants, but he’ll accept that Amanda has to do whatever it takes to win.

Back at the Chancellor mansion, Y&R spoilers say Abby will be frantic over Devon’s decision.

Abby will want to get Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) over there to strategize and fight Devon with everything they’ve got. When Chance hesitates, Abby will be stunned over him seemingly thinking Devon has a right to pursue shared custody.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby will be more than willing to go to war for Dom’s sake, but Chance will struggle with that idea.
