The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, January 24, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will confess a secret to Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) while Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) sees Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) bond. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to on Monday’s action-packed show.
At Newman Media, Sally will saunter in with plenty of stories to tell now that she’s back from New York.
Adam will seem frustrated and distracted, but he’ll ultimately relent on taking a break with Sally for a meal.
At Society, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will get updates on Chelsea’s relocation plan.
Once Chloe really thinks about it, she’ll love the idea of getting some loft or warehouse space in a cool part of town.
Chelsea will insist that if they find the perfect space, then Adam won’t be able to say no.
Soon after, Adam will come in with Sally, so it won’t take long for Sally and Chelsea to start clashing.
Sally will get the relocation news and wonder why she’s just now hearing about it, but Chelsea will remind Sally that she works for them.
Adam will argue that nothing has been decided yet, but Chelsea will seem hopeful about the new spaces they’re going to look at. Sally will then ask when they leave and offer fake support.
“Newman Fashion, go team! Is that cheerleader enough for you?” Sally will ask.
After Adam drags Sally away to a nearby table, Chelsea will fume over Sally not even trying to hide her blatant intentions with him. Chloe will point out that Chelsea sounds like someone who hasn’t gotten over Adam!
Back with Adam, he’ll urge Sally not to get so worked up and will get her talking about what happened in New York.
Chelsea will glare in Sally and Adam’s direction as they laugh over some story Sally tells.
When Adam’s mood shifts a bit, Sally will push him to share what’s on his mind. Adam will admit he’s dealing with bigger issues than Sally and Chelsea’s feud.
Adam will note that he’s lost all credibility with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who thinks he put the company at risk by falling for Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) plan.
After Chloe and Chelsea leave, Sally will continue listening to Adam’s woes. Adam will feel like Victor is back to second-guessing everything he does and won’t understand where this is coming from. Victor is always three moves ahead, but Adam won’t even be sure who his father’s opponent is.
Adam will eventually decide he probably shouldn’t have confided all that to an employee and will urge Sally to forget everything he said.
Sally will counter that it’s cowardly to backpedal, so she’ll push Adam to just own what he told her – and he’ll indeed own it.
Adam will still want to know that Sally’s going to keep what he said under wraps. After Sally insists she’s on Adam’s side, she’ll talk about knowing what it’s like to constantly have to prove yourself.
Sally will get Adam to confirm that the relocation plan came from Chelsea, who reacted to him saying they had no future together.
Sally won’t think it’s fair since she wants those day-to-day run-ins with Adam. She’ll add that it’s for professional reasons and will argue that she’s the one who put Newman Fashion on the map.
Adam will contend that for now, Chelsea and Chloe are Sally’s superiors. Although Adam will feel confident Sally’s going to have her own line one day, he’ll think she has to be patient.
Sally will joke around trying to get Adam to invest, but he’ll think they should focus on the business they have before they go launching new ones.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon will worry about Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and how he’s dealing with Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) engagement to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Rey will wonder if maybe Sharon’s reading too much into Noah’s lingering feelings, but Sharon will argue that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) sees it, too.
Rey will admit he’s just a detective and can’t see all the same signs as Noah’s parents. Sharon will assure Rey that’s not what she meant.
Sharon will act like Rey plays a very important role in her kids’ lives as their stepdad.
Once Chelsea and Chloe end up on the patio, Sharon will get nosy and quiz them over their relocation plans.
Chelsea will eventually join Rey at his table in the main dining area, so they’ll chat about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and Chelsea’s decision to move out of the penthouse.
After Sharon comes over and spots the interaction, Chelsea will gush about how great it is to talk to someone with no ulterior motive. She’ll think it’s so refreshing since Rey actually cares.
Once Sharon is alone with Rey, she’ll comment on his rapport with Chelsea. Rey will downplay it and suggest he just talked to Chelsea about Connor since parents love talking about their kids.
Next, Chelsea and Chloe will approach Adam in his office with the perfect new space. Adam won’t be sure about the hefty cost of a new lease, but they’ll spell out all the reasons this is a good idea.
In the end, Adam will decide maybe it’d be good not to cross paths with Chelsea all day long.
Chelsea will seem rather upset as she excuses herself and bumps into Sally in the hallway.
When Chelsea is rude once again, Sally will wonder what it’s going to take to get even the tiniest bit of respect.
Chelsea won’t be sure she can ever cut Sally a break and will be onto her Adam game. “Stop playing me for a fool,” Chelsea will warn before storming out.
Sally will blame Chelsea when Chloe confronts her, but Chloe won’t know how much more of this she can take! She’ll declare that something has to give and will take off after Chelsea.
Once Chloe tracks Chelsea down, she’ll rant about how she keeps giving and giving without getting anything in return.
Chloe will announce that she’s done trying to help Chelsea see that Sally is an asset. She’ll warn Chelsea to figure this out and stomp off moments later.
Back with Adam, he won’t want to listen to Sally’s complaints either.
Adam will also make it clear that Sally needs to figure this out and won’t like her chances in a war with Chelsea. However, Sally will think Adam’s underestimating her.
At home, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will remain glum over the shared custody situation.
Abby will worry Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) will think they didn’t love him enough to fight for him, but Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will offer reassurance.
Even so, Abby will wish there was another solution that felt right.
Chance will work to convince Abby that Dom’s going to be the luckiest little boy in the world and will be surrounded by love.
Abby will still worry about the days and nights they’ll spend away from Dominic.
Abby will fear they’re going to break her and won’t know if she’s strong enough – even just walking away one day a week.
Chance will wonder if Abby wants to tell Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) they’ve changed their minds, but Abby will insist they can’t go back on their word.
Although this is horrible and hurts, Abby will stand by the decision as the right thing to do.
At the penthouse, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will notice that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) still seems a bit worried.
Amanda will argue that the lawyer in her just can’t rest until the new agreement is all squared away.
Amanda will eventually get a text from Christine about their amendments being approved and will tell Devon that everything is on track.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Dominic situation may remain complicated, so stay tuned to see where things go from here.
