The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, July 18, reveals that Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) threat will enrage Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) – and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will fear Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) announcement at a press conference.
At the park, Ashland will insist Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) is fine nearby with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), so Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) make sure Harrison is distracted by the ducks as a cop arrives.
Ashland will act like this is all a big misunderstanding and will rant about Diane setting him up, but he won’t resist arrest.
Afterward, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will insist Diane really came through for them, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will bicker with him about her motives.
Although Michael will admit that Ashland will probably be out on bail later today, he’ll agree with Nikki about sending Ashland a real message.
Meanwhile, the officer will escort Ashland to his cell, where he’ll rant about this being a textbook case of harassment.
Ashland will vow to sue the GCPD for millions, but the cop will leave “big shot” to await his lawyer’s arrival.
At the Abbott house, Diane will seem rattled over the close call and will worry that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is angry with her since she was responsible for Harrison.
Kyle will assure Diane that she did nothing wrong – though Summer will seek confirmation that Diane didn’t collude with Ashland.
Although Diane will acknowledge it’s a fair question, she’ll promise there was no collusion.
Diane will admit she could’ve reached out to Kyle instead of Michael, but Kyle and Summer will think Diane handled the situation correctly.
Ahead of a press conference, Victoria will give Victor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) updates on Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) pitch to save Sally’s job.
Although Victoria and Nick will be suspicious over Adam’s claim of breaking up with Sally, Victor will just want to know if Adam’s coming back.
Victoria will confirm that Adam stood his ground on leaving, so Victor will suggest Sally can disappear as far as he’s concerned.
However, Victoria will admit she doesn’t have a replacement lined up.
After insisting she’ll give it a little more thought, Victoria will contend that she’ll need to decide by the end of the day.
Once Nikki arrives with the news of Ashland’s arrest, she’ll also admit Diane’s involvement.
Nick will think Diane wanted to protect her grandson, but Nikki will act like Diane had her own agenda.
Victoria will argue that after what happened with Ashland, she’s not going to give anyone the benefit of the doubt ever again.
At Newman Media, Sally will leave Adam a voicemail and worry about his disappearing act.
Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will arrive and find out that Adam sent a text about staying in Chicago last night, but he’s not getting back in touch now.
Sally will find this sudden trip odd, especially since Adam didn’t have a conversation with her beforehand.
Although Sally will insist Adam promised he wouldn’t get revenge, Chloe will certainly think he could break that promise.
Talk will turn to the COO offer that Sally made, so Chloe will admit she’s interested – particularly since Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) dissolved their partnership.
Sally and Chloe will eventually watch Victoria’s press conference to see if they still have jobs.
After Victor announces that Victoria’s back from her sabbatical, he’ll reveal that Nikki is her co-CEO while Nick is stepping up as COO.
Victoria will take the lead next and make a speech about this exciting new era for Newman Enterprises.
Once it’s time for reporters to ask questions, Victoria will face one about Adam’s role in the company now.
After Victoria expresses gratitude for Adam’s hard work when he filled in, she’ll reveal that he’s moving on.
Sally will fume over how Victoria’s framing all this and will seem nervous as someone asks about her own role at Newman Media.
Victoria will offer a vague answer about “possible staff realignments” that are still under consideration.
Once the press conference concludes, Chloe will wonder what Victoria meant by that. Sally won’t know, but she’ll admit it didn’t sound good.
While Victoria, Nick and Nikki are all praising themselves in the aftermath, they’ll question where Victor dashed off to.
In lockup, Ashland will get a visit from Victor, who’ll be glad to see him looking like a caged animal.
Things will get heated as Ashland accuses Victor of using Harrison to kick him when he’s down.
Ashland will argue that Victor is the one who needs to suffer loss, so Victor will ask if that’s a threat.
After Ashland says Victor can take it however he likes, Victor will grab him and snarl that he doesn’t like it.
Victor will add that no one breaks his daughter’s heart and gets away with it – no one!
Once Victor tells Ashland to watch it, he’ll vow to follow Ashland wherever he goes. As Victor stomps off, Ashland will straighten his suit and look a bit shaken.
On the GCAC rooftop, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will hang out with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) ahead of Tessa’s surgery tomorrow.
After Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) arrives, she’ll slip up and cause Noah to explain his tricky Newman Hope situation.
Mariah and Tessa will support the idea of Noah pursuing something he actually wants to do, so he’ll pitch the idea of turning Top of the Tower into a hip new club.
In a private moment on Monday’s Y&R episode, Mariah will offer Allie advice about Diane and will think it’s great to see Noah looking so happy.
Tessa will also fish for date details from Noah, who’ll admit he feels good when he’s around Allie.
That’ll leave Tessa pleased that Noah sees potential in this new romance.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Noah and Allie are bound to face some curveballs sooner or later, so stay tuned.
