The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, July 4 reveals that the episode featured Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) bashing Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is worried about a showdown. Plus, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) counseled Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Counseling Tessa Porter
Y&R spoilers reveal that the Monday, July 4 episode featured Tessa worrying about the future of her career. While Tessa and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) waited for Elena, Kyle showed up. Kyle learned that Tessa’s concerts and tour are on hold due to her vocal cord nodules.
When Elena arrived, she tried to reassure Tessa. Elena thinks that Tessa’s chances for a full recovery are very good.
However, Tessa was more concerned about her career.
Elena couldn’t make any promises but did bring up that her uncle went through the same thing and had a comeback tour after he recovered. Elena also warned Tessa not to rush her recovery.
Y&R Spoilers: Noah Newman’s Surprise
Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that she’s accepting the internship at Jabot but she listed a condition of that internship.
Allie wanted to make sure that she truly deserved the internship, and that it wasn’t being given to her out of guilt. Jack assured Allie that the offer was made based on her merits.
After the conversation with Jack, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) stopped by with a surprise for Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang).
Noah bought Allie an MP3 player and showed her how it works.
Then, they both listened to an old radio show that had mysteries the audience had to solve. Allie made jokes about ancient technology. Allie and Noah almost shared a kiss.
Resurrection Rejuvenation Jokes
The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) stops by the Grand Phoenix.
Diane wants to use Phyllis’ gym and spa. Phyllis makes up a story about an agreement not to poach the athletic club’s clientele.
Diane brings up that Phyllis was just begging for customers. Before the situation escalates, Summer stops by and asks what’s going on.
Diane offers Phyllis a compliment on the hotel. Phyllis responds by making resurrection rejuvenation jokes.
Summer prods her mother to be nice. In order to get rid of Diane, Phyllis gets her an immediate appointment with the spa.
Phyllis and Summer talk about Diane as well as Jack. Summer blasts Phyllis for the way she tried to push Diane’s buttons.
Then, Summer wants to know what happened with Jack. By the end of the story, Summer slams her mother.
Summer says that Jack is a very nice man and deserved a lot better than how Phyllis treated him.
This only makes Phyllis even more convinced that Summer is now “Team Diane.”
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, July 4 Recap
On Monday, July 4, Jack and Kyle talk about Phyllis and Diane. While Summer is warming up to Diane, Kyle is now worried that her first instinct was right.
Kyle needs to know if Diane caused Jack’s breakup with Phyllis.
Jack doesn’t like Kyle asking questions about his personal life but finally tells him what happened.
Even though Kyle is told that Diane isn’t responsible for the breakup, he’s still worried.
Kyle thinks that if just the mention of Diane’s name causes such a volatile response with Phyllis, things will only get worse. Kyle ponders the possibility of a horrendous showdown.
