The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, June 20, tease that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) future will be at risk while Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) tempts Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will also receive a new mission, but he’ll have to decide if he’s willing to accept it.
First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will corner Billy and put him through an interrogation.
Billy will be forced to offer a progress report on his life and how things have been going in Jill’s absence.
That could bring an admission about Billy’ latest bump in the road with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), who got fed up over his fixation on protecting Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Billy may insist that he saw the light and made things right, but Jill will still be worried.
Since Billy is finally in a healthy relationship with someone who’s a good influence, Jill won’t want him backsliding and getting caught in Newman drama again.
Another concern may come in the form of Billy’s career and how he continues to feel like an outsider.
Billy is handling the podcast division and is trying to find a sense of purpose at Chancellor-Winters.
Even so, it’s not enough to make this COO truly feel like a team player – not when Lily, Nate and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are constantly working the family angle.
Imani and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) have a family connection of their own, so Billy always feels like the odd man out.
Jill may warn Billy to keep his head in the game or else his future will be a disaster all around.
Of course, Billy may remind Jill that he’s not the screwup he used to be, but Jill will still deliver stern advice and try to keep him on the right path. Despite Billy’s reassurance, Jill will deal with growing fears about his next chapter.
As for Imani, she’ll hope to create some temptation for Nate. Although Imani may not be dragging Nate into bed just yet, she’ll get a step closer by capturing his attention.
Nate may sense that things are off with Devon since he went against him at the launch party.
The resulting tension might leave Nate in need of a distraction – and he’ll indeed find one through Imani, who’ll continue to flirt and throw herself at him.
Across town, Michael will get updates on a new assignment that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) wants him to take on.
Since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) seems to have Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) covered, Nikki’s request may be about Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Michael has reconnected with Diane lately, so Nikki might try to exploit that and seek help taking the cobra down.
It’s clear that Nikki wants Diane out of Genoa City ASAP, but Michael may refuse to do anything that would sabotage Diane’s attempt to bond with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Diane is a troublemaker at her core, but she obviously loves Kyle and wants to be part of his life.
Nevertheless, Nikki will hope to get rid of Diane whether Michael approves or not.
