The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, June 20 Recap – Kyle’s Mom Wants a Job – Michael Investigates Diane’s Time in LA

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, June 20, teases that Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) mom will want a job while Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) investigates Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) time in LA. Let’s talk about what Monday’s Y&R episode has in store.

At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will fill Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) in on Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) fake cancer scam and how Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) ran away with him for a fresh start.

Jill will admit Ashland is a vile human being, but she’ll agree with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Billy needing to let it go.

Furthermore, if Billy does anything to mess up with Lily, Jill will warn she’ll never forgive him!

After Jill senses that Billy’s disconcerted by the changes at the company, he’ll open up about feeling restless – like something’s missing from his life that he can’t figure out.

Billy will assure Jill that he’s not self-sabotaging and that his podcast project has actually been cathartic.

Although Billy won’t know what he’s supposed to find or where to find it, he’ll vow to keep searching.

At Chancellor-Winters, things will get awkward as Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) hypes up Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for creating buzz at the launch party.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will claim Nate overstepping was just a bump in the road, but he’ll still act tense toward him during a business meeting.

Afterward, Imani will follow Nate to Crimson Lights and make sure she didn’t get him in trouble with her advice at the merger bash.

Nate will take responsibility for what he revealed at the mic, but he won’t like how Imani seemed to be taking a veiled dig at Devon earlier.

Imani will insist she’s not one to stifle her feelings and will think the benefits of what Nate did were worth the risk.

Nate won’t be sure Devon agrees, but Imani will keep playing up how they need to look out for each other and will compare her sister situation to the one with his cousin.

Back with Billy, he’ll join Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) after speaking with Jill and admit he shared some things he previously didn’t want to burden Lily with.

Lily will get called away for a forgotten photoshoot, so Billy will downplay his issues and send her off to shine.

At The Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Sweeney) will talk about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) mastering the art of evasion through texts.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get updates on Phyllis being vague about how long she’ll stay out of town and worrying Summer.

After Summer admits she persuaded Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) to ask Phyllis to come for a visit, she’ll insist it was to avoid a Phyllis and Diane showdown.

Summer will realize she’s going to need a more long-term solution, so she’ll get Amanda on board with being on her team of peace brokers.

At the coffeehouse again, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will run into Michael and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) on the patio.

Once Nikki pushes Michael to look into Diane’s Los Angeles activities and prove she came back to town with evil intentions, Lauren will point out that Michael has actually been “paling around” with Diane.

That’ll leave Nikki appalled, so she’ll push Michael to investigate Diane while Lauren takes off to meet with Summer.

Nikki will think Michael can get Diane on tax evasion, fraud, identity theft or anything else that would get her out of the picture.

Michael will argue that even if he found something shady, he wouldn’t have the standing to bring charges in California or even Genoa City since he stepped down as DA.

Instead, Michael will argue that living in exile away from her son was punishment enough for Diane.

Nikki won’t agree, but Michael will wonder if she’d be so adamant about Diane’s takedown if she’d been successful in getting rid of Ashland.

After Nikki argues that Diane’s crimes are worthy of their own vitriol, he’ll cave on doing a deep dive – if only to prove to the naysayers that Diane has changed.

Nikki will wonder what Michael will do if his investigation proves otherwise, so she’ll ask if he’ll try to cover up for Diane or let her get what she deserves.

Once Lauren makes it to The Grand Phoenix, she’ll find out about Summer’s plan for peace. Lauren will have her doubts about whether that’s possible and will think Summer might have to pick a side.

Although Summer’s support for her husband is noble, Lauren will hint that she might have to get some distance from Kyle and Diane.

At the park, Diane will watch Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) play and share a nightmare with Kyle.

Last night, Diane dreamed Kyle, Summer and Harrison moved back to Milan after the Marchetti deal fell through.

Kyle will reassure Diane about the deal happening before she asks for a big favor.

Since Diane won’t want Kyle to keep supporting her, she’ll hope he can help her find a job.

Kyle won’t have any real estate connections, but Diane will argue that’s something she just fell into anyway.

It wasn’t a passion like architecture, so Kyle will ask if Diane would like to get back into that instead.

Diane won’t think she could compete with all the young and hungry architects now, so she’ll mention taking some communications courses in LA and working toward a certificate in public relations.

After Diane talks about how those jobs are about turning around a bad image, she’ll think that’s something she can excel at.

Kyle won’t be able to promise anything, but he’ll tell Diane that he’ll keep his ear to the ground for her.

Once Kyle heads home, he’ll meet up with Summer and hear about Nikki going after Diane.

That’ll leave Kyle frustrated as he insists Diane is doing her best to turn her life around.

Kyle will just wish everyone would back off and give his mom some breathing room.

Summer will contend that it’s easier said than done since so many people have histories with Diane as well as strong opinions.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will continue to shake things up with her presence, so stay tuned!
