The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, June 20 Update – Kyle Lashes Out Over Diane Threat – Billy’s Confession

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 20, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will lash out over a threat to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) while Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) confession gets derailed.

First on Monday’s Y&R episode, Billy will seem glum as he sits down with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) at Society.

Jill will hear about all the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) drama, but she’ll think Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is right about letting Victoria run her own life.

As for Chancellor-Winters merger, Billy will acknowledge that it’s been a major upheaval and will feel a bit disconnected.

Although Billy won’t be sure why he feels so restless, he’ll be determined to keep searching for whatever he’s missing.

Meanwhile, it’ll be the first official day at the office for the Chancellor-Winters team.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will joke around with Lily, but it’ll become apparent that he’s still holding a bit of a grudge over Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) speech at the launch party.

Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will make a bigger mess of things by hyping up Nate’s decision and all the buzz it gave them.

After Imani lands at the coffeehouse with Nate, he’ll point out that her veiled dig at Devon wasn’t helpful.

However, Imani will be pretty unapologetic about speaking her mind and won’t think Nate should let Devon discourage him.

Imani will also talk about her complicated family dynamic with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and how it’s like Nate’s bond with Devon.

Although Billy will plan to keep what he shared with Jill under wraps, he’ll change his mind later.

Billy will be on the verge of confessing everything he’s been bottling up, but he won’t get the chance when Lily has to rush off to a meeting.

Back at Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will find Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman).

That’ll give Nikki a chance to recruit Michael for a Los Angeles investigation in hopes of proving Diane’s nefarious motives.

Lauren will basically act like Michael is buddies with Diane now and the last person Nikki should be asking for help.

After Summer summons Lauren for a conversation, she’ll take off and let Nikki put more pressure on Michael.

After running down a list that includes tax evasion, social security fraud, identity theft and impersonation, Nikki will feel like there must be some way to take Diane down.

Michael will mention that even if he found proof against Diane, he wouldn’t have any legal standing in California.

Since Michael is no longer the district attorney in Genoa City, he’ll insist he can’t bring charges there either.

Even so, Michael will cave to Nikki’s relentlessness and agree to do a deep dive.

After Michael hopes it proves Diane has changed and deserves a second chance, Nikki will explore another outcome.

What happens if Michael proves Diane is indeed up to no good? Will Michael cover for Diane or be willing to enforce her punishment?

That’s something Nikki will want to know – and something Michael will have to think about as this investigation moves forward.

At The Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will come clean to Amanda about arranging for Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) visit to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei).

Since Phyllis will eventually have to come home, Summer will want to avoid blood in the streets.

Amanda will get on board with Summer’s plan to create a team of peace brokers, but Lauren won’t be as keen on it once she’s brought in the loop.

Lauren will admit to siding more with Phyllis and Nikki on this.

After Summer hears the news of Nikki’s Diane takedown plan, Lauren will point out that Summer may eventually have to pick a side as well – even if it means pulling away from Kyle and his mother somewhat.

In the park, Diane will thank Kyle for letting her watch Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) play and will mention a bad dream about the Marchetti deal falling through. Kyle will insist the deal is still on track and will be surprised over Diane’s next request.

Diane will admit she could use a big favor and will hope for some assistance on finding a job in Genoa City.

Although architecture is Diane’s passion, she won’t think she’s kept up with the developments enough to compete in the industry.

Diane will also steer the conversation away from the real estate career she fell into.

Instead, Diane will like the idea of a job in PR since she was taking communications courses and working toward her certificate in LA.

Kyle won’t be able to promise Diane a job and will hint about obvious issues at Jabot.

However, Diane will mention the other businesses around town and suggest maybe Kyle will hear about something that’s right up her alley.

After Kyle vows to keep his ear to the ground, Diane will smile and insist that’s all she can ask.

It’ll be a sweet moment where Kyle seems pleased over Diane’s ambition.

Once Kyle heads back to the Abbott mansion, he’ll get updates from Summer on Nikki’s vengeful mission.

That’ll cause a bit of an outburst as Kyle rants about no one cutting Diane any slack.

Although Kyle will wish people would just back off and give Diane some room to breathe, Summer will hint that his mom’s made a lot of enemies.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say history will be hard for Diane to overcome in GC, but she’ll work to overcome her pariah status if possible!
