The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, June 27, teases that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will trash Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) pattern with men while Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) gets a shocking preliminary diagnosis.
At the Abbott house, Jack will text Phyllis back to suggest there’s nothing more to talk about.
Nevertheless, Jack will ultimately pick up the phone and agree to come hear Phyllis out.
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will get Jack’s approval on taking Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) to the park, but she’ll seem surprised when Jack takes off in a hurry.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will complain to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about all the latest Newman drama.
In times like this, Nick will be reminded that he doesn’t have an official role at Newman Enterprises other than his board seat.
Sharon will ask if Nick is actually considering going back to Newman, so he’ll admit he’s rethinking some things and will explain why it’d be nice to have a voice at the company.
Upstairs in their apartment, Tessa will stop playing the guitar and clear her throat a bit.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will question why Tessa stopped playing, but Tessa will act like she doesn’t want to distract Mariah while she’s working remotely.
Soon after, Tessa will be on the hunt for tea and honey in the cabinets.
Mariah will be surprised to learn Tessa burned through so much of it already and will think she needs to get her sore throat checked out by a doctor.
Once Mariah and Tessa head down to the coffeehouse, Mariah will get Sharon and Nick to back her up.
Tessa will decide to ease Mariah’s mind by seeing if her doctor can squeeze her in today.
Later, Tessa will come home and admit her preliminary diagnosis is vocal cord nodules, so Mariah will grow concerned since those are serious.
The news will send Tessa spiraling as she worries about her career and the possibility of needing surgery.
Although Tessa will confess that she’s really scared, Mariah will insist they’ll see the specialist and take things one step at a time.
Back at Crimson Lights, Sharon will think Nick has to ask himself whether he’d be more satisfied taking on a larger role or maintaining the distance that has served him so well until now.
After Sharon pushes Nick to trust his instincts, she’ll insist she supports him 100 percent.
Nick will get a call from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about something important that can’t wait, so he’ll have to cut his conversation with Sharon short.
In the park, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will go running with Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and flirt with her as usual.
When Diane pops up and tries to play nice, Noah will be rather cold to her.
Allie will point out that Diane is just being friendly, but Noah won’t be able to forget about Diane’s past transgressions.
Diane will understand the outrage, but she’ll think spending time with Harrison and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) makes all the attacks worth it.
Afterward, Noah will apologize to Allie for making her uncomfortable and getting all worked up over Diane.
That said, Noah will wonder why Allie thinks Diane deserves a second chance.
Allie will reflect on how forgiveness could’ve changed everything for Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) and Jack.
It would’ve made it so the Abbotts would’ve been in Allie’s life from the beginning – and Allie wouldn’t have been the only one at her father’s bedside when he died.
Allie will talk about how a life without forgiveness and trust can be really lonely, so Noah will seem impressed by her way of thinking.
In the park again, Diane will watch Harrison play and flash back to what she told Allie in Los Angeles.
As Diane remembers her desire to be a real part of Kyle’s life and the Abbott family, she’ll smile over her progress.
In Phyllis’ suite on Monday’s Y&R episode, Jack will show up to listen – though he’ll warn this won’t change anything.
Phyllis will urge Jack to have wine with her and will deliver a heartfelt apology since he felt used.
Once Phyllis opens up about old wounds, Jack will point out that she’s a master at faking sincerity.
Phyllis will wonder if Jack’s really doubting her when she’s trying to wear her heart on her sleeve.
Although Phyllis will hate that she blew things up when they were getting so close, Jack will insist that wasn’t the beginning of a relationship.
For Jack, it was a moment to imagine what might’ve been. For Phyllis, it was just a way to one-up Diane – at least that’s how Jack will see it.
Jack will refuse to make the same mistakes again and will push Phyllis to accept that whatever fleeting moment they had is over.
Phyllis will vow to prove she’s changed and will call Jack’s attention to the olive branch she extended to Diane.
However, Jack will think that was Summer Newman-Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) doing.
After Jack reflects on letting his desires destroy their friendship, Phyllis will protest that she’s still his friend.
Unfortunately, Jack will stand his ground and remind Phyllis of all the relationship disasters she’s had in recent years.
Jack will run down the list of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Nick and now him.
Once Jack rants about Phyllis sabotaging their romance in a matter of days, he’ll think maybe it’s more than a pattern. Maybe it’s just who Phyllis is.
Jack will think Phyllis keeps getting in her own way and is all about the chase, not actually embracing happiness.
After Jack storms out, Phyllis will be left to drink alone.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Jack clearly aren’t getting back together anytime soon, so Phyllis will have to figure things out on her own.
