The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 27, teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will react to Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) bombshell while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has a doctor demand for Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Let’s discuss the Y&R drama ahead.
At the coffeehouse, Nick will voice his frustration over the Newman family chaos and how it’s harder to help without a real role at the company.
A shocked Sharon will realize Nick might get back into the family business, but he’ll suggest he’s just considering it.
Meanwhile, Tessa will hide the fact that she’s struggling to sing and will blame her sore throat on allergies.
Mariah will feel like Tessa should get it checked out at the doctor, but Tessa won’t think it’s that serious.
Nevertheless, Mariah will take Tessa down to Crimson Lights so that Sharon and Nick can agree with her.
Sharon will play the concerned mother-in-law card and argue that a good marriage is about compromise, so Tessa will surrender on seeing her doctor ASAP.
Unfortunately, that appointment will bring some difficult news. Tessa will find out she has vocal cord nodules according to the preliminary diagnosis.
Although Tessa will freak out over potentially missing her tour and needing surgery, Mariah will offer reassurance about her bright future.
After Mariah talks about how they’ll see the specialist and go from there, she’ll pull Tessa into a hug.
Back with Sharon, she won’t seem very into the idea of Nick returning to Newman Enterprises.
That said, Sharon will think Nick needs to trust his instincts and will offer her full support on whatever he decides.
After Victor calls to summon Nick, Sharon will wonder what’s going on. Nick won’t be sure since Victor only said it couldn’t wait.
Next, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will take Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) to play in the park with Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) permission.
That’ll lead to Diane crossing paths with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) and Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) while they’re out for a run.
Diane will be glad to see Noah’s spending more time with Allie and will suggest he could introduce her to other people their age.
Noah will be rude to Diane, so she’ll realize he’s not as OK with her return as she thought.
Although Noah won’t be able to forget the pain Diane inflicted upon his family, Allie will give him a little nudge toward forgiveness later.
After Allie brings up her dad’s grudge with Jack, Noah will understand why she’s a believer in second chances.
If Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) had only forgiven Jack sooner, everything would’ve been different.
Once Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) convinces Jack to hear her out, he’ll come to her suite and warn that it won’t change anything.
Phyllis will act like Jack is underestimating her and will suggest sharing some wine, but he won’t be interested.
Although Phyllis will make an emotional speech about how she messed up and let old Diane wounds get in the way, Jack won’t be very moved.
In fact, Jack will doubt Phyllis’ sincerity and act like Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) is the only reason a truce happened.
Jack will insist that whatever fleeting moment they shared is over.
After Jack regrets taking things too far and ruining their friendship, Phyllis will keep fighting to repair the damage.
However, Jack will run down the list of Phyllis’ disastrous relationships and act like this is just who she is at her core.
Phyllis can never seem to embrace happiness and fulfilment, so Jack will wonder why she’s all about the chase instead of actually having something.
Once Jack exits angrily, Phyllis will look rather somber as she grabs her wine glass.
Things will be looking bleak for Phyllis, but Diane will feel more hopeful than ever as she watches Harrison play in the park.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will keep working hard to carve out a real spot in the Abbott clan, so stay tuned.
