The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, March 21, teases that Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will wish for a sign from Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) strike a merger deal.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) drops Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) off at the hotel and turns down an offer for more investigating, he’ll mull over more mysterious texts.
The person who sent them will be upset that Jack came back so soon and will think he should’ve given Allie longer to come around.
Next, Jack will fill Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) on everything he learned about Keemo on the trip.
Jack will get emotional as he reads a letter from his stash and will wish he could’ve reconnected with his son before his death.
That’ll make Jack even more determined to make Allie part of his life, but he’ll admit it’s not going to happen anytime soon.
Jack will try to stay positive and will reassure Traci when she worries about him setting himself up for disappointment.
Jack will think he just has to find a way to show Allie that the door’s always open.
Jack will refuse to let the opportunity to bond with Allie slip away like he did with Keemo.
As for Allie, she’ll stop by Keemo’s house and struggle to believe her dad’s really gone.
Allie won’t feel like she has anyone to confide in now and will wish her father would send her a sign.
After Allie wonders aloud if she can trust Jack, she’ll also wonder if embracing him would be disrespectful to Keemo’s memory.
Allie will seem overwhelmed by everything she’s feeling, but she’ll end up drifting off to sleep on the couch.
Back in Genoa City, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will join Phyllis for a drink and wonder how things went in Los Angeles.
Although Amanda will hope that things took a romantic turn, Phyllis will explain that it wasn’t that kind of trip.
Nevertheless, Amanda will sense that Jack and Phyllis are even more connected than before. Phyllis will smile as she admits her relationship with Jack is indeed on another level now.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll speak to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) on a video chat and learn she has nothing but confidence when it comes to this merger’s success.
However, Jill will advise against delaying such an important move.
Devon will invite Lily over soon after and admit he’s closer to a yes than before – though he’d have to see a very detailed proposal first.
When Lily admits she already has one, Devon will chuckle and won’t seem surprised.
Devon will admit one of his concerns involves his relationship with Lily.
Devon won’t want to do anything to damage it, but Lily will insist she’d step down as CEO before she’d let that happen.
After Devon suggests he’s willing to make the same vow, he’ll give the green light on the merger and hope to make Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) as well as Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) proud.
Lily will practically squeal with delight, so Devon will insist he’s happy, too.
They’ll be stoked about the idea of working together on their latest endeavor.
Next on Monday’s Y&R episode, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will have a much more successful attempt at podcast recording.
Billy will open up about meditation, Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death and overcoming so much with the help of simple love.
When Lily comes home, she’ll tell Billy that the merger is happening – though there’ll still be a lot to nail down.
As for what sealed the deal, Lily will think it was her reassurance about her bond with Devon not changing.
Once Billy fills Lily in on his podcast going well, he’ll admit she was a big factor in his story.
Billy will never get tired of spreading the word about how Lily saved him.
Back with Devon, he’ll tell Amanda about the merger deal with Lily.
Amanda will seem concerned that Lily might’ve pushed Devon into it, but he’ll insist he reached the decision on his own.
Once Devon clears that up, Amanda will seem genuinely thrilled for him.
Devon will admit he hasn’t been this happy in a long time and will think their families’ legacies will never be the same.
Traci will seem proud of her brother as she listens to Billy’s podcast later.
Traci will hear Billy insist that he believes in multiple chances coming when you least expect it.
Jack won’t be able to sleep, so he’ll wind up back at The Grand Phoenix. That’s where Jack will get another text urging him not to give up on Allie.
The mystery texter will want to see what they can do, so Jack will look surprised as he lets Phyllis take a look.
In LA again, Allie will be fast asleep in Keemo’s dark house.
Someone will spy in the shadows and leave Allie unnerved when she wakes up startled. Allie will sense that someone is there, but she won’t see anyone around.
