The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, May 16, teases that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will have an extreme Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) warning for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) while Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) stops a bridal emergency.
At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) place, she’ll help Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) as they work to make Mariah Copeland’s (Camryn Grimes) wedding day stress-free. Mariah will also get special presents that fulfill the tradition of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will enjoy catching up with Crystal Porter (Morgan Obenreder) as they remain grateful to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) for making this happen. Crystal’s freedom will mean so much since Tessa will have a family member she’s close to at the wedding.
The only problem will be Tessa’s delayed wedding dress arrival. Tessa will act calm about it at first, but she’ll grow increasingly nervous as time runs out. Right as Tessa’s on the verge of freaking out, Chloe will save the day and offer up the bridal gown as promised.
At Crimson Lights, Y&R spoilers say Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will clear things up for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) regarding his feelings for Tessa.
Once Noah had a chance to sit with what was in his heart, he understood he was still processing his breakup from London. Noah was drawn to Tessa since she was familiar and unavailable, which made her safe in Noah’s eyes.
Now that Noah has truly let go of what might’ve been, he’ll make it clear that he’s not looking for love right now – though he won’t be opposed to it finding him. Since Noah will finally feel like he’s in a good place, he’ll just want to enjoy that happiness.
Later, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will bring Allie to the coffeehouse and let Noah know this is Jack’s granddaughter. Noah will crack some jokes about the Newmans that confuse Allie, so he’ll suggest he’s an acquired taste!
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will also show up and meet Allie, so he’ll welcome her to the family. When Abby mentions that Allie needs a ride back to the Abbott house, Noah will offer to give her one.
Noah will seem a bit bummed when Allie turns him down, but it’ll only be because she wants to walk and get a better grip on what Genoa City is like.
Meanwhile, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will kid around about being a reverend now that he’s been ordained online. Jack will compliment Kyle’s ‘70s glam look and get updates on his son’s plan to focus on the wedding instead of Diane right now.
At The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will feel like Diane is wasting her time by sticking around and fighting for Kyle’s forgiveness. Diane will hold out hope that Kyle will see she’s changed and will think even Jack is starting to see that now.
After Phyllis snaps at Diane to “stay the hell away” from Jack, Diane will find the warning extreme. It’ll lead to questions about Phyllis’ relationship with Jack – though Diane won’t see how a romance is possible after all the “Phack” pain of the past.
Phyllis will act like Diane is the one who has zero chance of a romance with Jack, so there’ll be more tension before Jack interrupts. After Jack advises Diane to give Kyle time and space, she’ll do the exact opposite by showing up at the Abbott house uninvited.
Kyle will seem annoyed since he stayed in town for his best friend’s wedding, not Diane. Diane will seem intrigued by the wedding talk and will be proud of her handsome officiant son, but he’ll take off in a hurry.
Over with Jack again, he’ll think Phyllis is worried about Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Jack will try to get Phyllis’ mind off Diane by asking her to attend the “Teriah” nuptials with him, so Phyllis will happily accompany him.
After a bit more wedding prep at the cottage, Mariah will head to Top of the Tower with her wedding entourage. There’ll be lots of dapper guests at the spectacular venue Noah designed.
Crystal will share a sweet moment with Sharon as they acknowledge their history and the gift of Rey clearing the charges. Kyle will also let Sharon know how sorry he is about Rey’s passing before Phyllis pipes up to ask about Summer.
Unfortunately, Summer’s flight delay will mean she doesn’t make it back in time for the start of the wedding. Kyle will think they should get started and will be impressed when Faith takes charge to get the ball rolling.
While Noah runs the lights and music through a tablet, Nick will walk Mariah down the aisle – and Sharon will do the same for Tessa. The episode will wrap up as Tessa and Mariah take their places in front of Kyle, who’ll be eager to help them tie the knot.
