The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, May 2, tease that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will shock Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) slams Diane Jenkins’ (Susan Walters) cruelty. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will also help Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) down a new path, so let’s talk about what’s in store.
First, Victor will visit Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway), so he may offer updates on some of the Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) drama.
Victor may explain how the fake cancer situation led to Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) deal, which meant Victor paid $500 million for Ashland to sign away the company and annul his marriage to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
Abby and Victor will no doubt discuss the car crash as well, which could’ve been a lot worse if Ashland hadn’t saved Victoria from her burning vehicle.
Of course, Abby considered Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) a friend and knows Chance is hurting over the loss of his partner.
Victor may acknowledge that Genoa City also lost a good man and a respected detective.
Chance will eventually pop up with a bombshell, so Victor should learn the autopsy report pointed to a heart attack.
Rey didn’t die from the accident itself, so at least Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) can take comfort in that.
It turns out Victor will also have some wisdom to impart. Perhaps Victor will urge Abby and Chance to keep their marriage on the right track.
If recent events have proved anything in GC, it’s that love can be snatched away in an instant.
Abby got a miracle when Chance came back to her, so Victor may advise her to take full advantage of that – and the same goes for Chance.
Over with Phyllis, she’ll have some guidance for Jack as well. Jack may need a nudge toward letting go after protecting Kyle for so many years.
Phyllis may insist it’s OK to let Kyle be a grown man and trust that he can protect his own heart now.
Still, there’ll always be part of Jack that wants to shield Kyle in a perfect little bubble.
However, Diane managed to burst that bubble with her return, so now Kyle has to ask the hard questions.
Kyle will address the cruelty of Diane’s faked death and demand to know how she could abandon him like that.
Diane will struggle to give answers that satisfy Kyle, but she’ll do her best to apologize and hope for a fresh start.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will need more time to mull over Diane’s comeback before he can even think about making her a real part of his life.
