The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, May 23, tease that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will surprise Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) with news while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) finds Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) weak spot.
First, let’s talk about Summer, who could be a friend or foe to Chelsea depending on how things play out.
Chelsea will no doubt keep things cordial when she runs into Summer, but their conversation could potentially bring concerns.
Summer may not get into the details of Jabot potentially buying Marchetti, but she might hint about changes that affect Fenmore’s.
If Summer starts talking about her vision and a possible move back to Genoa City, Chelsea could worry about what it means for her own career.
Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) scrambled to find somewhere to land after Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) cut their fashion platform, but they’re exploring new lines and exciting things with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) now.
Of course, Jabot and Fenmore’s have a partnership, so Chelsea will want to keep an eye on what Summer’s got cooking up.
This conversation will bring some surprises, but there’ll be more to come down the road.
In the meantime, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will find herself in a situation where her trustworthiness is doubted.
We’ll see if that ties in with all the Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) drama or perhaps lingering issues with Ashland.
Speaking of Ashland, Victor will nail down what he believes is Ashland’s true weakness.
Based on what Y&R fans have seen so far, the answer may be Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez).
Victor may think he can somehow manipulate Ashland using Harrison – though he certainly wouldn’t want to do it in a way that affects Summer’s beloved stepson.
Regardless, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will come through for Victor at some point this week, so that’ll involve a pitch on how they can get Ashland out of Genoa City.
Victor will just want a plan that’ll actually work and let his family live in peace.
The last thing Victor needs is the threat of Ashland’s return hanging over them, so he’ll hope for a permanent departure.
